Is anyone wearing Konekts who have narrow feet? My foot would be a C width. I read that by molding them they can fit a narrower foot. Just wondering if that is actually the case. In custom Trues now but after 3 years they seem to be loosening up. Had them rebaked too. Considering my next pair of skates and Konekt on the radar if they can actually be molded to a narrow foot.
Had mine a season and a half. I'm between B and C width. They were great the first season but going into this year and through December the heel pocket got so loose that my heel would lift causing me to lose my edge more often and struggle with quick movements. Even rebaking the skates and adding pressure to the heel while cooling did not fix this. The hinge also seems to bind a little more when molded to narrower feet.
I'm now in some stock Eflex 6 skates and loving them. No heel lift, no pressure points after a week of skating in them, and the only thing I struggled with for a little was getting used to the lower cut boot. Now that I'm used to it I can get deeper and wider in my stance than I ever could with konekt. I do miss the consistency of putting on the konekts.

I'm still surprised we haven't seen anyone try bungees limited with skate lace to push off the post

True does not offer a glove with no wrist strap, so that is not really a comparison? CCM made it available to their pro goalies and must switched.
Yes, small sample size, but validates that it's well received when promoted and well executed.
Most Bauer pros in Supreme use older glove models.I still only count 50/50 as far as ccm 580s go. Who all is using the crossform strap in a 580 build?

Most CCM 580 pro goalies are using the 580 with the Cross Form (no wrist strap). I don't think Bauer was wrong to remove the wrist strap. Better still be on the customizer.
Do you have evidence of the crossform strap being used in normal 580s?
Seems 50/50 since Levi and Demko have traditional 580s while Markstrom and Skinner share a custom glove build with the 5#1 backhand (and presumably crossform strap) on a normal 580 build

As much as I love the look of bottom heavy graphics I think I'll be doing more white this year to try and blend in. I'm struggling to track the puck with this much black on the pads.
Who knows maybe I'll do @coopaloop1234's worst nightmare

Definitely their best one yet.
Interesting to note that you can't get INT internals on a 7.1 catcher. Once you select INT 75, the option to select a 7.1 disappears. Guess they don't want to sew those in?
Blocker specs don't specify anything about sewn in palms this time. Is the 7.1 not a sewn in palm like the 6.1 was?
Per warrior's catalog the 7.1 will still be sewn in and 7.0 will be removable just like before. Also just noticed the link says G6 for some reason and warrior had updated that link

The final version of the warrior customizer is much nicer than the one I found. As far as I'm concerned this is right up there with bauer's customizer since it has descriptions with pictures for every spec option.

Both ccm and Bauer offer semi custom skates. Meaning they use pre formed shells that are distorted/padded appropriately for the print out of your foot scan.
True on the other hand is a fully customized skate. Meaning it is pieced together around the printout of your foot from the inside out.
Ccm custom offer a fully custom shell and their higher level of custom offers nearly every option the pros get with the exception of being able to order an older model. Last I heard bauer doesn't even adjust the padding for their retail custom skates
-
Both true and ccm should be able to accommodate your needs. All you get with bauer custom is quarter sizes. If memory serves there was a period of time where true didn't do proper custom and just picked whatever foot last they had stored and was closest to yours with a few adjustments. As of last year I know for certain they're doing proper custom again (probably ties in to when they switched scanning processes).

So question here, maybe someone out there has the answer. There was much talk about how Warrior managed to get their pads so light by getting the pad widths down to 10.5-10.75". I never did get around to measuring or asking anyone. Was there any truth to this or was is all rumor and speculation? And if it was true on the G6, anyone know if that's gonna continue on the G7?
This has not been true since G3. G4 was full width off the shelf (it did shrink over time) and every pad since then has been full width. What set G6 apart was its ability to maintain that width after a season of use
-
On true pads the farthest outside options just centers the toe ties.

Noticed the lack of a new price point pad. Does anyone know if they'll keep the M5 in production? or is that just what's left on the shelf and the X5 is taking over? I'm hoping to snag a pair of the M5's before they are gone.
Also I'm curious to see if the SL1D3R Skin 2.0 (geez that's a mouthful) improved the sliding at all compared to the Mach.
M5 has sold poorly compared to X5. Bauer probably sees no point in keeping it around

Not new here (formerly ULTIMA). Anyone know when this G7 customizer is gonna launch?
Some would say it already has

Pure has the customizer link up but no customizer

Iirc askarov used a 600 glove when he was in eflex and somehow got a proper Lefevre style bauer 600 glove instead of a supreme.

Thinking about getting one of the XF helmets during off season since they're probably not as hot to wear during heavy practices. Anyone picked one up yet?

Still wondering what "push plate platform" means. Marketing BS likely.
Betting it means they raised the heel so it doesn't feel as flat out of the box
Shadow chest also looked near identical to Mach imo @pfeiffjay54

I feel like by now there's usually pros using the graphic since it will be coming out end of spring/early summer. Maybe Oettinger will use the graphics when he gets off ir
He's back and in his usual US set skinned as Mach
1 hour ago, coopaloop1234 said:Sure, but we haven't even seen the new glove in action at the NHL level. Even if they are masked as Mach's.
It would be pretty hard to spot it. From my understanding the backhand is the exact same as Mach

Customizer is up
Judging by the description it is in fact a 580 style glove which is pretty sweet

As far as I know warrior has no precurve option and expects you to add curve to the pads yourself. I've added a bit to mine but they're definitely no where near as curved as Brian's unfortunately
