  1. the 3 most interesting features of the new glove are not spelled out clearly in the catalog.
  2. exactly... no details what's under the hood yet
  3. You've seen what about the knee? Unless I have missed it, I don't think any one has defined what's new and how it's different than Bauer? 591 is not a new break, it's completely new glove design using the 590 break. 0 details have leaked on this yet. It's pretty fascinating. Can't wait to learn people's thoughts once it releases.
  4. Can confirm, this will be "alt" stock graphic. CCM is rolling out 2 choices for 2022. Here is the actual version of what ThatCarGuy mocked up.
  5. I can share he has not received the newest version of the Axis 2 glove
  6. @wishEMT @Ross great set ups
  7. this is last game. He has knee elastic. With a prof stap, I can confirm this is not needed, but most goalies will be most comfortable with it.
  8. Same, but I didn't back. I like the simplicity of it.
  9. This is generally my take when I see these posts. I understand you want it to be perfect, but I really don't think that is going to ruin your game.
  10. To my knowledge Fox, CBS, NBC, etc still broadcast their major content over an Antenna and it's 4k. The challenge is local sports. What's Buzzr?
  11. You could connect that to a TV with an AppleTV, Rolu, or whatever In the USA now, that service is included with ESPN+. All of ESPN+ is like $8.99/mo? With Disney bundle, you get ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu for $12.99 That is my point above, the game is more accessible than ever. I have multiple friends who have the Disney bundle for Disney and Hulu and never checked out ESPN+. Now they can watch any out of market game for "free" because they already have the service However, hockey is now harder to find...
  12. It is crazy how the business model come full circle? Sports used to be free over the antenna, that is still technically option but you won't get games on cable networks, and maybe that's how this evolves? Put the games up for free online and let google / youtube sell the ads for them? All the revenue comes purely from ads in the future and not a TV contract? Easier access = more fans and the game gets healthier?
  13. I think one thing everyone is missing here is ESPN. When I heard that ESPN got hockey back, I expected a mega boost to the ratings. From what I can see so far, ESPN is limiting 90% of their coverage to ESPN+. I am not sure how many "casual" fans are picking a random out of market game and watching it on ESPN+? Tonight, only place to Flyers vs Pens is ESPN+. On the inverse, because so many families in the US have ESPN+ as a part of the Disney Bundle, is TNT losing ratings because people are watching the out of market games instead of tuning into the pre-selected match up on TNT? I feel like the only way to go apples to apples would be to compare the aggregate total viewers per night between last season and this season. Will be curious if ESPN starts airing games on their standard channels now that football is winding down? Maybe the big boost will come in the playoffs if ESPN puts hockey on the standard channels?

  15. Haven't seen them up close, sorry to my point though... we're worrying about something I strongly think is a non-issue. Bauer has a safety testing protocol around skate toe caps. I doubt anything would be on the market that didn't go through the standard process... which is something like 80-100mph from like 2' away
  16. Making the toe box say 2mm thicker than the rest of the boot will add nominal weight and provide plenty of protection. player boots don’t have “re-enforced” toe caps and that’s probably the one area of the skates the EQMs Don’t fuss with when adding shot blockers All skate toe caps from Bauer are tested between 80mph-100mph from a close proximity with a puck cannon for safety testing. That testing standard didnt get discarded for the new boot either
  17. I THINK this is standard stuff in high end ski boots https://www.dalbello.it/en-us/boots/piste/ds-asolo-130-gw/ https://www.roxa.com/we-fit/ https://www.sportiva.com/vanguard.html
  18. Makes complete sense The only reason I think it might be green or bust is that there is not custom with these skates. Everyone fits into a stock skate because of the liner technology. So if there is no custom, why have custom colored liners? Also, the lime green is the new Bauer tech color for products that don't below to a product family... like the Bauer Sling player stick. So I think Bauer is going to promote more green moving forward. Have to wait and see on that detail!
  19. I know a way easier move... Just get a Nike Mag wrap https://www.instagram.com/skatewrapz/
  20. "Bauer created this issue"? Who has not stepped on the ice and felt like "damn, my skates are too loose today" or "fuck, tied them too tight again" Call me an idiot, but I would say like every 5-6 skates one of my skates feels off for a bit when I first get out there
  21. They exist... It's just a way more exclusive club than the Solid Colored Pads Crew https://www.adweek.com/creativity/nike-mag-self-lacing-sneakers-are-finally-here-theyre-only-making-89-pairs-173888/
  22. How many skates in total? Do the edges peel?
