  1. If we ignore what the OEMs label their products, here is how I see the world
  2. Fact! I’ve probably said this before, but Bauer technically classifies Supreme and Vapor as both 60 deg gloves. There’s clearly ways to do something differently with a single break
  3. I agree it's BS. It's a shame the NHL goalies he works with don't stop the practice.
  4. Skate is great, as with all the Bauer cowlingless products before Ultra Sonic, it's an issue of Fit? I have used 1S, 2S, 2X, and now Ultra Sonic. Always liked the skates, but Ultra Sonic is the only skate that fits me properly. I am standard player Supreme fit based on the foot scan.
  5. Does this track the apps? It says Peacock / primetime. I have like curling on that I found on demand in the background I have been using Peacock to watch the olympics because it's way easier to find exactly what you are looking for vs turning into NBC or USA Also, the time change does not help. I was thinking shame on the IOC, that 3 winter olympics in a row in bad time zones for North America. If the IOC was smart they would 1 olympcs in North america, 1 in europe, and 1 in Asia. Keep that rotation that fans in all contents have a balance.
  6. I have not tried those, I don't like how flat they look and the design didn't get me excited to order a pair.
  7. Team EQMs or GMs are an entirely different story...
  8. I would not question anyone who does not feel like knee pads should cost $400. I would also suspect that anyone questioning the price is not the target client for RXS. Their masks cost $2000 USD and it's probably impossible to see one in North America before purchase. They are catering to pro level goalies. If you're not a pro and you buy their product, you're probably a hardcore gear nut who can rationalize buying $400 knee pads and expecting they last 5 seasons? I am not sure I understand the question about the wrap around padding? the inside of your knee is down on the knee stack in the butterfly. The plastic knee cap is large and should leave no gap? If somehow a puck got through, there is an inner plastic knee cap and some foam. I have the Bauer Supreme S18 (similar to 1S & current pro) and would say that model has more gaps this this model?
  9. How Blackwood probably wanted his Vaughn pads to sit
  10. My understanding is that this is the plan forward... maybe not be 100% correct 20.2 / 12.2 Custom = Made in Montreal by Lefevre - Most expensive 20.2/12.2 Stock Retail = off shore - Cheaper Line coming to complete in 2nd price point?! not sure
  11. I don't actually think the specs are that weird? He has the pads sit high off his skates. They are not meant to be anchored with the boot sitting flash against the top of his skates. It's all about closing the 5 hole and feeling like you can maximize the rotation in the ankle area. I accidentally started wearing my USs this way. It's not for everyone, but it works well
  12. you need Bauer marketing literature to go apples to apples. I have no idea what they weight, but I weighed a 25" paddle before and was told my scale looked too heavy? haha
  13. Is anyone on the website a lawyer that would mind researching a topic for me? I made very good friends with a sneaker influencer and Instagram shut down his account. The account had the word Nike in it, but it was a Nike fan site and Nike sent him product to promote their brand He cannot get Instagram to respond and I would love to help him get his account reactivated
  14. I asked a few pros that I am friendly with. Teams have them use Polar chest straps. I have one of those an AppleWatch, I would not trust an AppleWatch on the ice. The chest strap has 0 issues under the base layer
  15. 0% think that's a supply chain issue. Lefevre cuts the parts in house. I would assume the materials are mostly the same, it's just the shape the materials are cut into and the layup of the internals. I think people are creatures of habit and are gravitating back to what they are used to. Im pretty confident saying some people are still in CCM cores skinned as True, same as people using older Vaughn specs like V4 or V6 construction. There is no issue with the True product, it's just people not wanting to deal with spec changes. I wish OEMs would share more about their cores. A core change is a big deal. Grubauer is an example of this. He wants to wear what he had success in.
  16. If you didn't want the video, you can win the 940... forgot to mention that
  17. CCM is treating this one with extra secrecy, think about how much know about Konekt skates in comparison.
  18. that's NOT what I am referencing. That seems sorta small to me? But I have not tried on the gloves, so I am not sure
  19. FWIW, I think CCM's take on maximizing seal is more different than I expected when I got the product updates. yes, I can appreciate it's all tweaks on the same flavor of ice cream... but I am curious. I'd take ben and jerrys over bryers any day.
