  1. Though, there are a lot more avenues for the general consumer to test out different brands and styles. Sideline Swap has been a bit of a godsend for me nailing down my preferences. In less than two years I've had the ability to test: - Bauer 2S Pro Set - Warrior G5 Pro Set - VE8 Pro Carbon C/A - Bauer Pants - Bauer 3S - Bauer 2X Pro Catcher - Bauer Hyperlite Catcher - Bauer Mach Set - Another G5 Catcher with INT liner - Bauer Mach C/A - Bauer Ultrasonic Catcher These are just from Sideline Swap or GGSU and don't include any store demo's or new purchases. If I hadn't been able to test out a multitude of gear, my preferences would have been less adventurous for the same reasons you listed: The price tag. I'm glad I've been able to explore in a most cost friendly manner. The Bauer gear I'm wearing (Leg pads, blocker, mask, C/A) are all up there for some of my favourite pieces I've ever worn and without this type of 3rd party reselling site, I'd still be in my Blue RGT2's.
  2. Pro Custom Option Only. I don't actually know, I just like saying that to any type of inquiry.
  3. For some reason or another I think that line still exists.
  4. The CCM/True gloves are the worst for this. Vaughn SLR's aren't good either. The rest seems to be mostly OK as far as my off the shelf experience go. It's more the antiquated designs that seems to have these issues more than anything.

  6. They'll be stitched in like the G6, G5, G4, and G3. Only the GT and GT2 line had pronounced knee rolls. But calling them knee rolls was a stretch lol.
  7. I think the Mach did so poorly that they reverted back to a more Ultrasonic style build. What they needed to do was to refine the Mach ROM system and it would have been great. From what I know, the Shadow wrist strap is a thinner, more low profile variant than what Bauer traditionally has used. Kind of a middle ground.
  8. I was wrong, it was the G2 line that offered this and it was their "Euro" Graphic.
  9. I wonder if there's a general theme going on with the design aspect lol
  10. Same as it's been since the G3. Remember when the G3 had three different graphic options? Standard, Classic, and International (may be wrong on the naming of the third one). Standard and Classic we're the typical offerings from Warrior, but the "international" purposefully didn't include graphics on the face of the pad, just the outer roll, as it was designed to be covered up in advertisements. Good times.
  11. My first attempt didn't end too far off from yours funnily enough.
  12. Figured, though curious why no ability to get INT internals on the 7.1. Not that I'd get it, just want to question it.
  13. Definitely their best one yet. Interesting to note that you can't get INT internals on a 7.1 catcher. Once you select INT 75, the option to select a 7.1 disappears. Guess they don't want to sew those in? Blocker specs don't specify anything about sewn in palms this time. Is the 7.1 not a sewn in palm like the 6.1 was?
  14. I bet ya you can order it without wrist strap. The standard Pro Custom option.
  15. No wonder I couldn't find the old thread. Looking through the breadcrumbs on that showed me that the thread I was referencing had been deleted. Mods always trying to silence the little guys. Though, at least that thread had the G5's and GT2's measuring at a steady 11". Hopefully Netminder @ChippedWall this answers your concerns.
  16. Generally we put our hands in and do a open/close motion.
  17. Looks almost the same to me. I remember trying on the Rx4 just for the sake of it when I was getting my Rx3 and I could barely tell any difference. I'm sure there's some small tweaks I wasn't able to nail down quickly, but for all intents and purposes, the units were so similar that it feels like only a color swap was done.
  18. Honestly? About a few hundred dollars cheaper. X4 has a better colour scheme and that's mostly it in terms of anything noteworthy. There's a very slight change in shape of floater sizes, but they're so miniscule it's not worth noting.
  19. The 10.5" Warrior issue has be rectified as of the G4. There was a thread somewhere on here (can't find it) where there's some pictures to back it up. I've had RGT, RGT2, and G5. RGT1 had some areas less than 11", but GT2 and G5 were spot on.
  20. Me at @Flyers27, Besties4life
  21. Rebounds between the lines is pretty much identical.
