  1. I've never used a Stabiliflex, just Stabilislide. I always have been curious if it's better for me or not. I do really like my Stabilislide as it is though and have never felt it getting in the way.
  2. He also was in all True to start the season too. One by one he's falling to the Bauer Gods
  3. One thing I did not like when using my all black Mach set was how easily I'd lose pucks in my pads or coming off of my pads. The occasional quick whistle (which wasn't much) did not compensate for my immediate loss of peripheral vision for tracking pucks in and out. I'm not against using gear with a darker base like my blue RGT2 set was, but I'm starting to lean towards more white based gear solely for puck tracking purposes. (plus puck marks are fucking rad). Won't go all white because that's boring. But I don't think I'll ever get a predominantly all black set.
  4. The gloves were mostly due to overall design and not quality control. Over the years I've been trying multiple different catchers to see if anything works and I keep falling back to Warrior catchers, time and time again. Shit, I bought an Ultrasonic catcher recently and even before I hit the ice with it I put it up for sale. I am very much a Warrior catcher only guy. So I can absolutely see how Lefebvre guys are as devoted as they are. Once you know, you know/ Same mentality I have with Warrior products. I get they're a very divisive product and I don't fault anyone for not liking them. I judge them though.
  5. My first pads were RBK 6k's and I had a pair of CCM 2.9 gloves a couple years ago I tried for a while. Didn't like either one. lol. Honestly? My 'hate' for them is mostly exaggerated because I find it fun to do so. I do genuinely think their designs aren't great and they are my least favourite, but, I get why people like them. Familiarity is a huge factor. (plus NHL presence can never be understated)
  6. Glad to see more companies slowly start to adopt an integrated knee block. It's my favourite piece of my Ultrasonics and has been a major reason why I haven't been too tempted at any other brands.
  7. I'm sure they break in fine, most gloves do (except 600 breaks). Was mostly just conveying the retail experience with a note of bias that I carry against the Lefebvre desgin lol.
  8. Lots of gloves can fit that descriptor, especially as most new gloves are pushing for max perimeter pocket size and reducing their cuffs. You'd need to tell us more as to what you're currently using so we have an idea where to guide you. Break angle and familiarity will trump sheer pocket size. It's a love it or hate it brand, but man are people so wrong not liking Warrior catchers. Imagine not liking greatness? I can see why you hate it. a 590 is a 60 degree break lol 580 - 90 Degree 590 - 60 Degree 600 - 75 Degree The sole reason we use the 5XX numbers is mostly due to popularity of those gloves (reference point) as well as consistency of those breaks over a long period of time. Sure it's dumb, but it's something that has remained pretty steady for a while now that I don't see changing any time soon.
  9. Interesting. The opposite of most brands where the aggressive curve comes with a softer build. You may not vocalize it often, but I know deep down you agree with 95% of the nonsense I spew.
  10. He's got a new Bauer set already, I'd assume that a new C/A would've come faster. Plus is that even a thing? Pretty sure all guys in the NHL system have to have their gear signed off prior to play.
  11. Good on you for actually figuring out the hell Rich was wanting to say.
  12. Kasimir Kaskisuo is currently using a Mach C/A with Laval in the AHL. https://youtu.be/YD-q2Kug6J0?si=LtT4Ie0l5gQTLlVY&t=453 (what's in the bag for best view) https://youtu.be/BfefjR1Wsk0?si=5j-bxda3Aqkq_Dvm&t=878 (same C/A hanging in the stall)
  13. Everyone knows not to browse this forum in public. We're all degenerates.
  14. For sale: Bauer Ultrasonic and Warrior G5 Pro. G5 is barely used, Ultrasonic has seem some usage but it still in good condition. Obviously will be more flexible with people on this site over SS. Warrior G5 sold https://sidelineswap.com/gear/hockey/goalie/goalie-gloves-blockers/7573584-bauer-used-regular-supreme-ultrasonic
  15. Mick Jagger was the team lead on this one.
  16. "Hey Team, we need a new skate for 2024, any ideas on what we could improve?" "Just paint the fucker black and call it a day"
  17. I'm using the Vapour professor strap as well, but pretty lose. It's mostly being used as a stopping point so I don't fall off the knee block. I wear the tune fit strap loose and low. I'm mostly seeing if this is a possible alternative to simplify the strapping setup I currently use.
  18. Awesome. What were your thoughts about the change and why did you go back? I also assume you don't use a professor strap?
  19. Anyone ever added a Tune Fit + strap to an Ultrasonic pad?
  20. I could maybe see it working if you strap behind the knee, but going down to the calf is just asking for this pad to not work. There's also the Vapour strapping set up that you can swap out and attach to the outside if you're looking for a looser fit.
  21. You're telling me a first generation Bauer product had design and durability issues? I would never think if see the day. Bauer products are always second/third generation items.
