  1. I'm sure they break in fine, most gloves do (except 600 breaks). Was mostly just conveying the retail experience with a note of bias that I carry against the Lefebvre desgin lol.
  2. Lots of gloves can fit that descriptor, especially as most new gloves are pushing for max perimeter pocket size and reducing their cuffs. You'd need to tell us more as to what you're currently using so we have an idea where to guide you. Break angle and familiarity will trump sheer pocket size. It's a love it or hate it brand, but man are people so wrong not liking Warrior catchers. Imagine not liking greatness? I can see why you hate it. a 590 is a 60 degree break lol 580 - 90 Degree 590 - 60 Degree 600 - 75 Degree The sole reason we use the 5XX numbers is mostly due to popularity of those gloves (reference point) as well as consistency of those breaks over a long period of time. Sure it's dumb, but it's something that has remained pretty steady for a while now that I don't see changing any time soon.
  3. Interesting. The opposite of most brands where the aggressive curve comes with a softer build. You may not vocalize it often, but I know deep down you agree with 95% of the nonsense I spew.
  4. He's got a new Bauer set already, I'd assume that a new C/A would've come faster. Plus is that even a thing? Pretty sure all guys in the NHL system have to have their gear signed off prior to play.
  5. Good on you for actually figuring out the hell Rich was wanting to say.
  6. Kasimir Kaskisuo is currently using a Mach C/A with Laval in the AHL. https://youtu.be/YD-q2Kug6J0?si=LtT4Ie0l5gQTLlVY&t=453 (what's in the bag for best view) https://youtu.be/BfefjR1Wsk0?si=5j-bxda3Aqkq_Dvm&t=878 (same C/A hanging in the stall)
  7. Everyone knows not to browse this forum in public. We're all degenerates.
  8. For sale: Bauer Ultrasonic and Warrior G5 Pro. G5 is barely used, Ultrasonic has seem some usage but it still in good condition. Obviously will be more flexible with people on this site over SS. Warrior G5 sold https://sidelineswap.com/gear/hockey/goalie/goalie-gloves-blockers/7573584-bauer-used-regular-supreme-ultrasonic
  9. Mick Jagger was the team lead on this one.
  10. "Hey Team, we need a new skate for 2024, any ideas on what we could improve?" "Just paint the fucker black and call it a day"
  11. I'm using the Vapour professor strap as well, but pretty lose. It's mostly being used as a stopping point so I don't fall off the knee block. I wear the tune fit strap loose and low. I'm mostly seeing if this is a possible alternative to simplify the strapping setup I currently use.
  12. Awesome. What were your thoughts about the change and why did you go back? I also assume you don't use a professor strap?
  13. Anyone ever added a Tune Fit + strap to an Ultrasonic pad?
  14. I could maybe see it working if you strap behind the knee, but going down to the calf is just asking for this pad to not work. There's also the Vapour strapping set up that you can swap out and attach to the outside if you're looking for a looser fit.
  15. You're telling me a first generation Bauer product had design and durability issues? I would never think if see the day. Bauer products are always second/third generation items.
  16. Probably because Bauer's wristless solution was just the deletion of the wrist strap and they didn't really change how the glove straps to your hand. CCM and Warrior both have multiple adjustment points and strap lower on your hand. Bauer is a one and done.
  17. Ah, did not know that. I can't see the benefit of this set up?
  18. https://prolaces.ca/en/products/pro-laces-armor-hybride I believe this is the system that comes with most True pads. It's the classic Pro laces set up, except for an inch or two of standard lace between the pad and your skate. It's supposed to mimic the slack that comes from using standard laces that's been so heavily "pushed" (lol) as a necessity for the toe box on post style of RVH integration.
  19. Though, there are a lot more avenues for the general consumer to test out different brands and styles. Sideline Swap has been a bit of a godsend for me nailing down my preferences. In less than two years I've had the ability to test: - Bauer 2S Pro Set - Warrior G5 Pro Set - VE8 Pro Carbon C/A - Bauer Pants - Bauer 3S - Bauer 2X Pro Catcher - Bauer Hyperlite Catcher - Bauer Mach Set - Another G5 Catcher with INT liner - Bauer Mach C/A - Bauer Ultrasonic Catcher These are just from Sideline Swap or GGSU and don't include any store demo's or new purchases. If I hadn't been able to test out a multitude of gear, my preferences would have been less adventurous for the same reasons you listed: The price tag. I'm glad I've been able to explore in a most cost friendly manner. The Bauer gear I'm wearing (Leg pads, blocker, mask, C/A) are all up there for some of my favourite pieces I've ever worn and without this type of 3rd party reselling site, I'd still be in my Blue RGT2's.
  20. Pro Custom Option Only. I don't actually know, I just like saying that to any type of inquiry.
  21. For some reason or another I think that line still exists.
