Lots of gloves can fit that descriptor, especially as most new gloves are pushing for max perimeter pocket size and reducing their cuffs. You'd need to tell us more as to what you're currently using so we have an idea where to guide you. Break angle and familiarity will trump sheer pocket size. I can see why you hate it. a 590 is a 60 degree break lol 580 - 90 Degree 590 - 60 Degree 600 - 75 Degree The sole reason we use the 5XX numbers is mostly due to popularity of those gloves (reference point) as well as consistency of those breaks over a long period of time. Sure it's dumb, but it's something that has remained pretty steady for a while now that I don't see changing any time soon.

I'm using the Vapour professor strap as well, but pretty lose. It's mostly being used as a stopping point so I don't fall off the knee block. I wear the tune fit strap loose and low. I'm mostly seeing if this is a possible alternative to simplify the strapping setup I currently use.

I could maybe see it working if you strap behind the knee, but going down to the calf is just asking for this pad to not work. There's also the Vapour strapping set up that you can swap out and attach to the outside if you're looking for a looser fit.

You're telling me a first generation Bauer product had design and durability issues? I would never think if see the day. Bauer products are always second/third generation items.

Probably because Bauer's wristless solution was just the deletion of the wrist strap and they didn't really change how the glove straps to your hand. CCM and Warrior both have multiple adjustment points and strap lower on your hand. Bauer is a one and done.

It's the classic Pro laces set up, except for an inch or two of standard lace between the pad and your skate. It's supposed to mimic the slack that comes from using standard laces that's been so heavily "pushed" (lol) as a necessity for the toe box on post style of RVH integration.

Though, there are a lot more avenues for the general consumer to test out different brands and styles. Sideline Swap has been a bit of a godsend for me nailing down my preferences. In less than two years I've had the ability to test: - Bauer 2S Pro Set - Warrior G5 Pro Set - VE8 Pro Carbon C/A - Bauer Pants - Bauer 3S - Bauer 2X Pro Catcher - Bauer Hyperlite Catcher - Bauer Mach Set - Another G5 Catcher with INT liner - Bauer Mach C/A - Bauer Ultrasonic Catcher These are just from Sideline Swap or GGSU and don't include any store demo's or new purchases. If I hadn't been able to test out a multitude of gear, my preferences would have been less adventurous for the same reasons you listed: The price tag. I'm glad I've been able to explore in a most cost friendly manner. The Bauer gear I'm wearing (Leg pads, blocker, mask, C/A) are all up there for some of my favourite pieces I've ever worn and without this type of 3rd party reselling site, I'd still be in my Blue RGT2's.
