  1. May 1988. Absolute beauties...
  2. Man, I don't know. Zoom in on this picture on eBay. Looks like the Heaton logo for sure. Why can't I find a side shot of thse pads?? https://www.ebay.com/itm/GREG-STEFAN-1986-AUTOGRAPHED-DETROIT-RED-WINGS-LITTLE-CAESARS-POSTCARD-/351782699284 I think the logos may be attached to Aeroflex/Winlite pads. How about that? The top logo looks loose. Like it was glued on and peeling off. EDIT: Heaton logo for sure:
  3. These gloves were unreal. Two tone tan? Wow. Look at those puck foils!

Naz gear is fantastic. Had to check the year again after seeing it. Awesome!
  5. Stefan was 'stand up until death'. Butterflies live in the woods - not on the rink. (This setup is fire!)

The white ones were Simmons 991s. The sport gold are Tour pads. Roller pads. But I loved them and busted them out for some ice occasionally. I bought the Tours from a dude named Andy Craft from the old GSBB. I swore I'd get them back to him when I was done with them. So if you know him - or are him - I have your pads bro.
  7. Whatever. Metro is lame. I only watch ESPN for their hockey coverage and Don Cherry VHS tapes for breakdown of the league.

    One picture I was injured.

The new facility is pretty nice and they have a great youth program. Old rinks are still way cooler.
  10. I know its not the Patrick - but I don't know the real name. (I don't watch the NHL much anymore) Metro? Really? Terrible.
  11. Are there spy shots of True gear? The Axis stuff isn't really getting me excited. I mean it's CCM logo'd Bauer stuff.
  12. I'm in Philly and a Flyers fan. No idea what the division is they play in. Patrick?

    New Team, Old Gear

Manager spends hours cutting precise sized red pad wrap material to fit. Domingue grabs all blue stick.
  14. When this move got popular in the day - every ham and egger would try it. But they all sucked at it and were slow. I'm 6'2 - so I'd just reach over the net and hit them while they were fumbling with the puck.
  15. When did this become the lacrosse goal? Was always the 'Michigan'.
  16. What's this face book you speak of?
  17. These are great pictures. I'm 42, so all these kids look like my friends did growing up. The picture with the dudes wearing hats backwards and all is great.
  18. So I was lucky enough to acquire the T4000 in this thread. I played last night with it - un-molested, straight out of the box. Absolutely loved it. Look for a new gear review thread this week about the glove.

    New Team, Old Gear

The goalies don't use gear that long anyway - so if they're traded, they just get a new set before they even land the plane. I also was a little dude in the late 80s and early 90s who obsessed about NHL goalie gear... and I had space in my brain still open. So all this useless crap just got soaked up in there then.
  20. The mask made me flinch at my desk. Where were your parents?
  21. God bless you. 1. It's a Subaru that isn't maroon. (My kids call the color suba-roon) 2. You operate a Subaru with the most confusing radio in modern history. I think the first Astronauts who landed on the moon had an easier radio to use. The steering wheel controls are beyond terrible. 3. Nice house.
  22. That is a nice car. Sorry I didn't know which Skyline it was. I hope its fun to drive.
  23. Glad the Passmore is in a good place. Makes me feel good. Most my family have no idea I even played hockey. Heck, I had a spirited discussion with my older kid's Bantam coach after a game (I didn't want to talk with him - he approached me) and I was told that I didn't even know hockey. Little does he know I play AAA Over 40... I'm going with the Mike Schmidt speech too.
