  1. I did when I had bauers. @Doobiesnax has done lots to his as well. My G3's have modestly modded straps too I suppose. (removed nylon strap from knee sling, separated calf sling wrap from the calf wing, and k-strap to pull my into the leg more, as well as bungee toe-ties in place of the ARS strap).
  2. Not Coop nor do I have a Sr. GT catcher, but I have a Sr. G3 catcher and no stingers in 2 months of use.
  3. New Years wooo! My parents are heading back to enjoy the festivities as well. Great look on the RGT customs! Also question for everyone, has anyone gotten "denting" on their cuff from shots?
  4. Anything remotely similar to their HAL's they'll go out their way to attack it. I've seen it on many Facebook groups, and some people manufacturing a shock cord toe strap i.e FixMyGear, FIVEHOLE, etc. Very defensive company (insecure?).
  5. Interesting. I've seen this on GGSU/other facebook groups. Also have heard issues of the snaps not staying secure and coming apart on many users.
  6. I agree. It's just another way to peddle Monster/Maltese products when I can't quite see why there's a need for this.. Maybe if your jock wasn't serving you well - but then again at the price point I might as well spend a bit more and get a good jock. It seems like a cumbersome external attachment if anything. These ones are the Nash ones i was talking about. Unless they've updated it the reviews i've seen have not been stellar. Seems like par for course with a lot of orders...
  7. Well the Medusa straps are just shock cords and cage clips essentially with a few tabs sewn up, there's not much to mess up with that. I'll chime in and say there are a lot of companies doing open harnesses now, and they're relatively easy to find - I would avoid the Nash offering though. @Doobiesnax I told you so. My blocks were quoted out at a few weeks, but ended being around half a year before i got my blocks. I also ordered HAL straps and K-Straps on the same order that I would have appreciated if they didn't wait all that time to ship those out too. Also... has anyone seen their new product "jock blocker".....

Fair, maybe i'll try and hunt down some old one100's to alternate while i break in x900s, while pinching my pennies for TRUE's (2 piece w/vertexx holder & tydan blades is what i'd order).

Honestly not feeling either of the S190 or X900 (albeit i need to give these some more time to break in). Previously in one100, and iirc the reactor line should fit similarly to that as well right? Might try and hunt down some older bauers while everyone is getting rid theirs for newer skates. I love the pushes, and the lateral movement I get from the butterfly, but I just feel off balance? and the boots still have painful hotspots.
  10. Honestly Brian's gloves are so comfortable, I wouldn't doubt that's why. Heck, I'm debating on switching over to my SZ6.0 catcher again to use with my G3 for comfort alone (don't get me wrong i love the G3 catcher, it's a vacuum, but lack of wrist strap.. irks me). Plus you're a Brian's user yourself, you understand
  11. Hey sorry for delayed response. Missed this somehow. Haven't gotten them as marked up as i'd like as those pics you replied to are the last time i was in net. I've been in a full cast up until a few days ago with what was thought to be a fractured wrist (that said there's a few torn ligaments). More pics here:
  12. Full agreement, MAF doesn't look super oversized at all. Now Garth Snow on the other hand...
  13. He just got my mold in the other day, and that's pretty much what i'm asking for too! Matte black with white cheater cage.
  14. There will always be the raging fan boys for this company and their marketing. Some of their ideas are nice, but execution isn't all there, nor is the aggressiveness/overly defensiveness of their reps. There's always delays for some reason or another. I could go on, but not a fan of the company. I had one order from the company, which took very very very long (although i'm sure that's quite a common story). At least the rep I went through initially is a pretty stand up guy (who left the company in short order too).

@WizYuan See! See! I have flatter feet than you do and I swear by superfeet... Didn't you end up buying some when you got your skates?
  16. Got to play tonight at the old coliseum again before they demolish it. Pretty cool to play store a rink that was still an nhl rink as of 2 years ago. Not the best photos but meh.
  17. I'm hearing that was with the 1st gen moreso than the anything (as with any 1st gen item). With second gen i heard there was less breakage, and the arm design looked sturdier (and plates on biceps looked to be a bit better made with a change in outer material choice)
  18. It really went bad last time. Couldn't help but shake my head at some of the comments. Interesting design to be sure, to have lots of the popstars on there. But definitely well done portraits, with some pop and nice shading for sure. The glitter effect is a nice subtle detail too.
  19. Ah, I've seen a few people do that on the claf wrap removed from calf landing pad, lets the calf wing hit the ice that much sooner, any issues with the velcro wearing on the calf wrap though? I did the same on my G2's and liked it. For the latter - I should strap it across the knee rather than down to the calf eh? It felt tight to me when i tried it carpet-fly, but i suppose I could give it a shot, just loosened up. FWIW - I wear ritual x pro knee pads so they are bulkier than the included knee pads. Thanks for the input everyone.
  20. I have 0 flare. I thought about it, since the strap is in a more forward position it would let the pad sit at a slightly different angle that if it's on at the heel. With carpet fly it seemed to make a difference.
  21. Just wondering how everyone is strapping their G3/GT? I have a super narrow butterfly and rely on the giggy fly, and I'm curious on how to get my leg closer to the pad itself so I can slam my knee blocks together easier. On my previous pad I ran an elastic professor type strap (thanks @cwarnar), which helped with that, but I don't want to run the risk of damaging the pad lacing and foams by installing them on my G3s. Additionally I run a lundy loop for my boot strap but almost wondering if I would get a wider flare by putting it thru the middle hole of my holder instead. Thanks all.
