  1. https://thehockeynews.com/news/on-the-20th-anniversary-a-look-back-at-the-night-that-sealed-patrick-roys-fate-in-montreal Have a read.
  2. If you want to stick with something along the lines of Eflex from when it was by Lefevre, you should probably move over to True. If you want really hot rebounds, my understanding would be that Bauer would be a good option. If you happen to be selling the Eflex 5s, what size and colour scheme are they?
  3. I don't have anything bad to say about them. I didn't really have any qualms about the quality of the numerous Warrior sets I've had in the past few years, but when comparing with the JRZ stuff, the JRZ feels a little better made. Something about Warrior blockers always felt a little off to me however I adjusted to it, but the JRZ is really good. The catcher, 60 degree break, feels fantastic in my hand. The pads slide well, rebounds are pretty hot, haven't had much of any rotation issues after dialing in the straps. I wouldn't say they excel in any one area but overall they're great and I wouldn't hesitate to get another set.
  4. I'd have kept them if I was just going laterally to a different Warrior set without them, however, I'm using JRZ Fusions now.
  5. Ha, nope sure didn't. I notice that the G6 slide plates that I had on them are not attached anymore.
  6. Not sure what brand of chin sling you've got, but I got the EcoProFoam from goalieparts.com and it has two hole options. One of them I found horribly uncomfortable, the other like a warm hug.
  7. That's been the single best mod I've done. Also unfathomable to do in my opinion.
  8. Signed with a senior team, so I've got that going for me. But really I'm just injury insurance, and cleared being a carded player with the beer league I play in so as not to screw myself out of actually playing, because it's "technically" against the league's constitution to allow carded players.
  9. I would imagine if the plate would encompass another knee wing well enough but not quite right, you could possibly heat it up and mold it a bit to your own liking.
  10. Thanks. I ordered that polycarbonate sheet that I linked earlier and I'm going to attempt to make it like your G5 plates with using the lace and the turned up edges.
  11. How'd you make yours? I sold my Warriors and wouldn't mind having slide plates on my JRZs. ETA: I imagine this may work - https://www.amazon.ca/Polycarbonate-Plastic-Robotics-Industrial-Shatterproof/dp/B07MQTDF4R/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3BK37IP58NT7&keywords=polycarbonate+sheet&qid=1667314535&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI1Ljc5IiwicXNhIjoiNS4wOCIsInFzcCI6IjQuNjYifQ%3D%3D&s=industrial&sprefix=polycarbonate+shee%2Cindustrial%2C185&sr=1-4
  12. just recalled that I've also used a 33+1.5 Warrior back when I had G3s, and there is a negligible difference between that and a 32+2 G5.
  13. My measurements are pretty similar to yours and I've been comfortable in both a 32+2 and 32+1.5 Warrior. I've tried a small Bauer Vapor 2x Pro and the fit was fine as well, but I didn't love the pad. Currently I'm wearing a JRZ Fusion in 32+1.5 which play a bit taller than the Warriors but are working out. In a Brian's pad, I've tried Opt1k in a 33+1 (too tall all around), Optik 2 in a 32+2 (good in the knee, too tall in the thigh), Gnetik 3 in a 33+2 (once again too big). Don't know how much this will help your search, but that's my experience.
  14. I'll do that before I ship the set out, sold it yesterday.
  15. Yep, on the packaging it is one size for both SR and INT. I got these on the ice yesterday and they slide amazingly.
  16. So, these sold incredibly quickly. Lock 'er up.
  17. As per the title, I'm putting my G5 set up for sale. They were like new when I got them, only used a handful of times by the original owner and subsequently for 12 months by myself and still in good condition. Single break below the knee, stock everywhere else. Pro laces for the toe, I probably have the Warrior toe straps somewhere. I literally just added the G6 slide plates which were fantastic when I got to use them. The left leg pad has a hole worn at the bottom of the leg channel from when I was trying out halo hockey straps on my skates. 60 degree palm, closure is fantastic. The blocker is a blocker. It works. Asking $900 USD/$1200 CAD plus shipping from Manitoba.
  18. thank you thank you thank you got my order in!
  19. I can attest to the same experience between G3/4/5, although I wouldn't say I hated the G4, it was my least favorite feel of the 3.
  20. Crazy that he was only active in the WWE for a mere 7 years and left basically on top.
