  1. Good news here as well, I wonder how many other pads we can fit that knee slide plate on
  2. Seeing as there's no Axis 2 thread yet I'll say this here, if you watch Trav's video we have significantly more "Solid" (jenpro) color options than we had available on Axis or EF5. Meaning if you want colors other than red, blue, navy, white, black, or silver you are no longer stuck with speedskin.
  3. *speculation based loosely on evidence which is pretty much the same thing
  4. Hence why it’s not released to us retail peasants yet They’re still in the testing phase of printing and trying to find the right finish. I believe they’re also trying to make both speedskin and jenpro work which is part of the reason for different finishes. (this is all pure speculation)
  5. Even if they are bringing back retroflex or a traditional knee roll option why wouldn’t the pads have a model logo?
  6. Came across these while scrolling through instagram. Picture was posted by GGN. I would’ve thought nothing of it but the normal knee rolls and lack of EFlex logos caught my eye. I wonder if this is potentially a 2023 prototype. It’s a bit odd to see one in the wild this early though. And if this is a prototype does it mean EFlex is getting a name change in 2023?
  7. That reminds me I still need to keep hassling fedex because a pair of skates I bought to resell are sitting at a month late now and I need them asap before the new model is publicly released.
  8. I have no need to be annoying, I have another hyperlite stick identical to that one so I still have a game stick plus they were only $120 a piece. If they give me money for another stick I’ll basically be getting a more expensive stick than what I bought since custom hyperlites are usually $310.
  9. First hyperlite stick broke after 6 months and it wasn’t even caused by hockey. Delta somehow broke just the one stick in a stick bag with two other sticks. I’m not sure how they only broke only one stick (I’m glad it was just one) but I filed a report yesterday so hopefully I get word back in 2-4 weeks if they’ll replace it. Slightly pissed because that stick in particular was my #1 on game days.
  10. SLR2 and 2S pro were near identical in my opinion lol. 2s Pro without a doubt being the better take on that style of pad. SLR3 is designed to be a more trendy, flat boot channel snug pad that sits high on the skate with a softer boot break and straighter core. It’s closer in build to a warrior than Bauer but they all are going towards a soft boot, firm knee block, snug fitting, single below the knee break pad
  11. Its crazy that ccm basically fell off the map in the NHL. As for Brian’s, simply put the whole gnetik v set felt like crap especially the pads. The pads are by far the heaviest thing I’ve put on or held since my LT88s and Reebok premier 3s.
  12. Simple. You make it thicker as well as the whole boot is essentially supporting the toe box because nothing can compress as a result of the one piece boot. Think netminder think.
  13. If I may have a moment of your oh so valuable time. https://www.thegoalnet.com/forums/topic/6215-3m-tape-for-sliding/page/5/#comments Read through this and you’ll see why people are excited for this slide plate
  14. Virtually every brand makes such a similar product now that it’s easy to jump around to find what you like in my opinion. It’s becoming more and more based on what glove you like from the looks of it.
  15. Maybe it’s just a preference thing but personally I couldn’t drop below my 24in Bauer/ccm paddles (25in warrior). I tried a couple times but kept getting beat high. Thought I might add 6’3” Adam Scheel uses a 25 warrior (24 ccm/bauer) with rounded shoulders.
  16. I'm not certain that bauer created this issue, I think we may have made it by trying to provide an excuse as to why bauer would use something other than laces. My guess is that having a hinge with laces caused excessive lace bite and if you're going to design a skate inspire by a ski boot why not go all the way.
  17. Some of us prefer to have the top laces loose while having mid and lower tighter and getting the same tightness every time is difficult on those upper laces.
  18. Top notch but lacking elbow floater protection. Perfectly substantial against AHL guy even after months of use. Maybe a little toasty but that could be just me or Texas hockey. A sheet of foam fixed my elbow floater protection problems.
  19. Precisely my point. I’ve had several V1 Pro+ sticks and they were my first super lightweight sticks. After those I switched to hyperlites which were even lighter so it’s crazy to find out that this pro stock feels lighter than my hyperlites. Might need to talk to scheel a little more and see if he’d mind ordering extras of his spec in just black and white lmao
  20. Lol in order for that to happen I pretty much have to make it out of the NA3 next year and keep climbing. Which means I have to play games in this league in order to get noticed which I haven’t yet due to being the youngest goalie on my team by 3 years. Although that is the dream and I’ll keep chasing it for as long as I can. One of my buddies who plays NA3 got to try out for the ECHL Allen Americans so it’s not unheard of.
