New idea to increase scoring in the NHL

This is easy, just follow my 12 step program. 

1. Bring back the red line

2. Make goals worth 6 points

3. Add lines between the goal line and blue lines

4. Give the scoring team a penalty shot for a chance to score a goal that is worth 1 additional point

5. Add lines between the blue lines and red line

6. Stop play every time a player is knocked down

7. More lines

8. Teams must progress 10 yards with the puck every 4 posessions

9. So many more lines

10. Like, you haven't even seen this many lines

11.  ? 

12. Profit

You know, this sounds an awful lot like how football is played.
