Joe Messina
A Greg Harrison 1993 mask made for Bob Essensa of the Winnipeg Jets. Essensa wore this mask during his last season with the Winnipeg Jets (1993-94 Season.) Essensa was traded to the Detroit Red Wings during the season and did not have a spare mask. While in Detroit, Essensa painted and taped over parts of the mask to match the Red Wings team colors. Greg Harrison has since removed the red paint to reveal the more famous Winnipeg Jets design beneath. This mask was created by Greg Harrison late in Essensa’s time with the Jets. This is one of the last masks worn during the Jets first stint in Winnipeg. PRICE: $8,500.00 USD (buyer pays shipping and PayPal fees) Accompanying this mask is a rare hand written letter by Greg Harrison detailing the unique paint job and his reasoning behind designing and painting it. Please private message me if interested or if you like further details. Thank you.

Naz
Interesting to see that his setup was made in the Vaughn USA facility, not Canada. Odd I had never noticed that before.

aircanuck
I always wondered what the RL 207 was when I was younger. This is a beautiful mask and piece of history. I love that Essensa gave Harrison so much creative control over that, it really makes for an interesting final product.

MTH
How did they remove the red paint? If I had that kind of cash around, I'd so buy it. You'd think some Jets fan up in the Peg would be all over this gem.
