  1. So I have a pair the CCM Tacks, which I'm fairly certain is the Pro version of the 6092. I've taken a few shots on the outside/inside of the boot and it's never pleasant. Though it's a pretty rare occurrence overall just with how the position is generally played. I'm sure the full 1 piece composite boots that are available are more protective, but, IMO, this shouldn't be a major factor in a purchasing decision when coming to a skate.
  2. I know that the ventus/slr glove wasn't the most popular, but it's dissapointing to see it essentially dissapear. I assume it'll be available at custom since there is still a user base for it, but I do understand their thought process behind making the change.
  3. Hate to see you go man, but it's been a pleasure. I hope I can last as long in net as you
  4. Time for the inGoal advertisement video
  5. Here's a good side by side of an Iconik pad with a stiffer core and a stock core. Brians is going a bit in the opposite direction than most and applying a more aggressive curve to their stiffer pads and having a straighter profile for their more flexible pads. I'm going to make an assumption and say it's the same concept applied between the Optik 3 and the x3's.
  6. Aside from Crawford in CHI and Turco in DAL I'm almost in complete agreement. That VAN vs DAL Series where game 1 went to 4OT really solidified Turco for me.
  7. Lifting the first cup in franchise history will always win major points for being a teams iconic goalie, especially a team that never truly had one like the Blues. Add in longest tenured, it's a pretty valid argument. Not many teams can say their current goalies are their most iconic, just the Lightning?
  8. 24" apparently. https://ingoalmag.com/2023/05/24/bobrovsky-unique-stick-grip-and-how-it-helps-blocker/
  9. Don't forget the bandanas. A true pioneer.
  10. If I now have to pay to see you naked, I'm leaving.
  11. Still better than a typical Lefevre glove graphic.
  12. Well aren't you just stocking up.
  13. Pretty sure in the post-lockout era NHL ('06 on) goalies have always been that later twenties to early thirties for hitting their stride. Some of the biggest names in the league are all within that parameter: Georgiev - 27 Saros - 28 Demko - 28 Sorokin - 28 Shesterkin - 28 Vasilevksy -29 Though, going over that list I linked, it does look like there's a pretty even spread for age brackets for starters in the NHL. However, Oettinger, Skinner, and Swayman are the only guys 25 and younger that have made an impact over a few seasons. There's some other good goalies getting starts in that age bracket, but the above three have been around the league for a while now that you forget they're not essentially kids.
  14. MAF - 39 Quick - 38 Talbot - 36 Bobrovsky - 35 Reimer - 35 Varlamov - 34 Andersen (6GP) - 34 Jones - 34 Markstrom - 34 Raanta - 34 Allen - 34 Kuemper - 33 DeSmith - 32 Gurbauer - 32 Forsberg - 31 Lyon - 31 Mrazek - 31 Pickard - 31 Rittich - 31 Wedgewood - 31 Binnington - 30 Brossoit - 30 Gibson - 30 Hellebyuck - 30 Lindgren - 30 Stolarz - 30 Ullmark - 30 I left Hutchinson (33) Campbell (32), Copely (32) Hellberg (32), and Domingue (31) off the list because they've barely played any games. All the guys aboce have at least 10 starts minus Anderson. But he's been out due to injury, not play. https://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_2024_goalies.html
  15. Funny enough, they have more playoff success in the past 20 years than Toronto. God, what a failure of a franchise.
  16. Yea, dude got punched in the mouth for being an asshole. It's a pretty classic case of FAFO.
