  1. It's game ready. It really sucks that pro palms are only available on either custom or pro stock/pro return gear.
  2. I've asked about the trapper palm on PureGoalie, but I've not heard back yet.
  3. What type of palm is on the M5? I'm looking for gloves with a pro palm, because I've taken one too many stingers to the palm.
  4. I'll try that out. Maybe the lower stance will shorten my time until I drop and eliminate the tweener shots.
  5. As I've been playing more and more, I've noticed that it's relatively easy to.save both the high and low shots. Low shots either hit the pads or can be played.with the stick. High shots I can catch with the glove or bat with the blocker. However, shots between my blocker and pads or glove and pads are tricky to play. What are some tips for stopping the tweener shots?
  6. In an actual game, the skater's actions would be goaltender interference. He would be going to the box.
  7. Is there a difference in how firm the pro palm is from company to company? I've only ever played with game ready palms before.
  8. The pushing the T part is what I also had to do with my old Reebok gloves. It's good to know that CCM has improved. Hopefully True will soon follow suit. Fingers crossed.
  9. That really sucks to find out your new pads are this defective. What's the warranty on these pads?
  10. I knew GNetik was a hybrid pad, but I was curious whether it was the type that had very soft rebounds, like the EFlex, or the type that slides better and releases rebounds further, similar to a Bauer Vapor. Anyway, I'd probably look for an Optik first, if I was going with Brian's.
  11. Interesting. I've been thinking about the pads, because Brian's is typically good at. Are these closer to the CCM EFlex end of the spectrum or the Bauer Vapor end (tight pad with hard rebounds)?
  12. I'd be interested if it's still available in another month or so.
  13. What size neck would a Medium fit? I'm curious, but have no point of reference, because Vaughn sells neck guards in Youth, Junior, Intermediate, Senior, and XL.
  14. What are the rebounds like for the GNetik? I'm curious, because Optik is its "butterfly" cousin, so to speak.
  15. What did you like about them? The graphics certainly look cool, but I wonder of they're still practical to play in today.
  16. Don't count out Andrei Vasilevsky. The guy is a Vezina winner, 2-time Stanley Cup champion, and if I'm not mistaken, a Conn Smythe winner. If he isn't now, he sure might become one if the Lightning pull off the 3-peat.
  17. We'll have to wait for the demo video to find out.
  18. Avalanche-Lightning should be an interesting one. It was a pity that the Rangers had to lose, but for some reason I got the sense that it was Shesterkin carrying the team, with not many contributions from other players.
  19. Interesting. How does the Mach compare sliding-wise to a current Brian's or Vaughn pad?
  20. Update: I emailed Rollerfly, and they told me that Rollerflys are just out of stock, not discontinued. They're coming back in late June.
  21. That makes sense. I've subbed up and notice that the pace of play in C is faster than in D and the shots are more accurate, but my teammates are also better and won't make dumb plays.
  22. Same here. We lost 8-0 and got outshot 27-12 (officially). By my unofficial count, we were outshot 33-12.
  23. Interesting. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm a D level goalie, so would it be easier, in a way for me to play at C level, after I get a little more experience?
  24. I have really enjoyed using the Rollerfly slide plates for ball hockey ever since they came out. They have been an excellent way to add mobility in the butterfly, and have allowed me to play a butterfly style both in ball hockey. Another thing I like about them is that they are easy to add and remove, and do not prevent me from using my pads for ice hockey. Unfortunately, I found out that Rollerflys are no longer being made. I can get replacement balls this year and extend the life of my Rollerflys another few years, but once those balls wear out, I'll need a different solution. I've looked at the other options (DekGoalie sliders, Passau sliders, Kenesky sliders), and they either have to be screwed onto the pad, which prevents the pad being used for ice, or they attach via Velcro, which means that the Velcro must be covered by something else if I'm playing ice. Is there a good way to cover the Velcro used to attach slide plates, or a way to install Rollerfly-style straps on the other sliders? I really do not want to have to buy a second set of pads for ball hockey, because that will be expensive and take up storage space in my apartment.
  25. I'll have to see if there are any available through Sideline Swap.
