Thanks! Tony’s awesome. I don’t think mask painting is his primary business, so you’ve got to be patient but I knew that going in. His price was exceedingly reasonable and he executed my requests perfectly. I just found him by Googling for mask painters and the art I saw on his website made me think his style would work for this project. Luckily it did! I definitely highly recommend Tony.

Already saw 1S sticks for 20% off at my LHS this week.

Me too. Went with (what I think is) a cool color combo and with the pre order you get the belly pad and double cup but I went for the Kevlar cup too. I’m hoping to not need the double cup or belly pad to get the slimmest option possible while still being protective.
-
I am also interested because it uses Maltese and a Kevlar cup. I am currently using a very bulky Vaughn unit and this seems more streamlined while potentially being more protective. As @ULTIMA suggests, I am a sucker for new gear so I’ll prob take the plunge and preorder.

More info is up on IG and they sent an email regarding pre orders. Despite the issues everyone (including me) has had with the company, I’m tempted. I’ve been hoping to find a slimmer but protective jock. The part that’s most interesting to me is that the double cup and belly pad are included in a pre order and appear to be removeable.

@TheGoalNet interesting. My main complaint about the 1S is I found it very difficult to release my blocker hand to switch from short stick mode to long stick mode. When I started using the CR1 with the slide grip it was so much better. I’m wondering if the 2S Pro will have the same issue. The ultra light weight is very tempting.

Sorry if this has already been posted but does anyone know if the 2S Pro stick is going to have the twisty paddle shape and come stock with grip coating?

Finally have my 960XPM back with fresh paint by Tony Bage of Winnipeg! Tony executed my concept/requests perfectly and I honestly could not be happier. As I said previously, this general idea has been done many times before, but I was mainly inspired by Pekka Rinne’s blue monster mask, but as a pop culture and film nerd, I went with Jason’s look from Friday the 13th. The key part was I did not want to go with a realistic grotesque/gross look - I wanted a cartoony/comic book sort of scary and Tony captured exactly what I was going for. The pictures really don’t do it justice - in person there is an additional depth to the art that is really neat. With the white cage to complete the look, I’m a very happy goalie. Hope you guys like it!

My recollection from when I had my RGT Pros was that the elastic/Velcro part of the knee sling was removable from the knee block (ie you can leave the nylon buckle strap in place and remove the fabric part). IDK if you can buy a replacement for it, but removing it would certainly make it very easy to repair/replace the Velcro on the sling at least. I will say that my observation was that the Velcro was quite robust and probably would last a long time. Keep in mind you should only be putting it on and taking it off once per ice time.

To be fair, I think its "how do I pee [in a toilet] once I'm in all my gear?", which is a question I've faced many times.

Excellent choice. Congrats!

@cwarnar which design did you go with??

Buddy, its time for you to put up or shut up about this Bea Arthur mask. We can only take so much hype. #BeaHive
