Ccm told me that axis 2 was kicking out rebounds to about 7-10 feet away with control foam aka no man’s land. Therefore they decided it would be a bad idea to offer it
Made a little bit different purchase today
10 diamond goalie mesh for those wondering. Very curious to see how it performs since this particular mesh is supposedly to the go to for rebound control and the giant holes make visibility easy. The goal is to replace a glove pocket it with it just like warrior did
Really wishing warrior was included in that test. It weighs similar to Axis and NME but feels like it performs much better surprisingly. Could be due to a better fit but there’s no way to no for sure until it’s tested.
There’s no point attacking them. From some of your previous posts I doubt you have the connections that some of us do, that said I’ve heard we will be offer custom graphics at retail this year just not sure when in comparison to the release of Axis 2
At the store I work at I haven’t seen custom printed axis 2 leg pads in our store inventory. Digiprint Bauers and custom graphic Brian’s are visible in the same system but not printed ccms so that may be a pro only option.
Interesting to note that in Pure's Warrior custom goal catalog there's an option for a locked ankle break but there's no ankle break option anywhere on any G6 customizer. That said if I were to go G6 I would personally want that locked ankle break since I loved it on 2S.
Really starting to wish I didn’t have a 19.5 FTK even though I’m 6’0” lol. Medium Bauer pads are too big for me but my 33+2 CCMS are spot on and unintentionally the proper NHL spec size for me.
Another less important detail is it seems to me that there’s a very loose correlation between mask weight and ranking in these tests. Lighter helmets like Axis and NME usually trended closer towards the bottom. I’m not sure how much a V6 or Sportmask weighs compared to 960 though.
Timing belt was actually the first thing I replaced on this car! Glad I did too since it was cracked by the time I got to it in Wisconsin. Transmission doesn't stall but it does shudder and shift somewhat hard so I'll check that asap. Door seals still hold flawlessly which is quite surprising considering the state of them. Thank you for all the tips!
True. Personally I struggled with the True/CCM 580 shape since I tend to hold my glove higher. That’s why warrior, 590, Bauer 580, and supreme work so well for me.
Aside from the fact that the shape of the glove is horrid for low glove shots I agree. Somewhere on this site I have pics of my Bauer 580 which is a much better, more reasonable shape.
