Doobiesnax
- So I started with my old circa '98 Sherwood Van Velden bucket. - Stripped her down, did some sanding, filling, and priming. - Had it hydro dipped with the carbon fibre pattern. - Replaced the cage with a new cat eye from goalieparts. Still had to drill some new holes for the cage to fit correctly. - Replaced all of the hardware, strapping, and chin cup. - Replaced all of the foam with Maltese GPS gel. - Profit $$$

SaveByRichter35
Does it have to be a mod done yourself or can it be a mod that was asked to be done for you?
Imperative
I can't take credit for this as Dave Wilcox did the work. Refaced my 5500 to match my g-netik pro 2 set up.

Doobie - while its obvious your masque was refurbished ( nicely by the way ) I think it would help if you explained the whole enchalada?

Are you able to get this clear coated after? If these are labels can you let us know what was the cost?

motowngoalie
Thanks @SaveByRichter35 and @TheGoalNet! Took me about 4 hours to do the whole project. Cost me $40.

Plus, Dan from CC let me swap out the numbers area on the chin for an Olde English D at no additional cost Highly recommended I'd say! If you want to add anything to their stock kits or create something custom, they'll do it. You probably could clear coat it, but I don't think it'd be worth it. Do the custom kits come pre-cut? From the instructions on their website, it looks like a lot of trimming on the mask.
motowngoalie
Thanks @Doobiesnax, yours is epic also, love that carbon fiber look. @goalie, yes, they are pre-cut, but there is a bit of excess around each decal that needs to be trimmed.

Thanks for the info. I went with Leblanc Designs. No dryer, no trimming.
Mroy31
Got tired of the fraying binding on my 1S pads leg channel wing. I won't say it was super easy, but it was something I wanted to try. Got some Jenpro from Fix My Gear, sewing needles from Michael's, nylon thread from Len's Mills, and a pair of pliers so I didn't kill my fingers. In the end I think my comfort with not having a fraying binding will win out over any OCD about those stitches (blues are only different because of flash)
