  1. 5’8.5” and I use a shaved 25”; found Bauer’s 24.5” intermediate to be better and now I can’t find the replacement for the Total One NXG 24.5” stick. ?Love that paddle shape, as well.
  2. Only time will tell if that liner mitigates hockey skate aroma; my VH/True smell pretty bad as I am sockless.
  3. Eddie Van Halen DID have his famous Frankenstein guitar paint job patented, not just copywritten. It was because SOOOOOO many people ripped off his paint job. I have painted several of my own guitars, but they will NEVER be sold. I imagine that the Potvin was not even copywritten; otherwise, Greg Harrison would have his name on every decal kit made to look like that paintjob. Frankly- it mainly applies to mass production, as usually individual painters don’t get sued (with the exception of Eddie Van Halen suing individual guitar painters, which is why my Frankie, 1984 and 5150 paintjobs will NEVER be shown on the internet).
  4. The good news is that with the G4 coming out, this means that G3 will be on clearance for tightwads like me!!!!!
  5. There are so many different ways people come across on a forum versus how they come off in person. Hell- they may have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed that day they made the post that rubbed someone the wrong way. The person reading said post could have had a bad twinge in their neck or just had an argument with their spouse before getting on the internet. Written word does not allow for vocal inflection and the like. It’s really a shame about Monster because when speaking with Jeff, he is a SUPER nice fellow. I rooted for him for the longest time. But too many horror stories and then my own minor problems just kind of left me cold.
  6. I just want to find the source of that elastic cord. But I am wondering if material is starting to get cheaped out on. My K strap I bought in February is totally stretched out. But back to my problems: mine were minor compared to others. I know that Laura, the VP, seems to have a bit of an attitude these days. I had ordered a bunch of the elastic. I had said please let me know if this can’t get to me by the weekend to let me know; if they don’t respond, I would be super pissed off. I added that I would not be angry IF they told me it would not be ready; but please don’t leave me hanging. She told me to be more respectful with my tone. Once when I had not heard anything for three day, she told me three days was not long and that implied that I was being impatient. With same day shipping being the norm, it makes one expect that from everyone. Now, if there was something on the page saying “hey- this is an item that is made to order, may take 2-5 days to be made”, that’s fine. If I could source that elastic, I would not order from Monster. I don’t want to worry that it may be weeks if I don’t follow up. I may do the nylon web professor strap I saw on here.
  7. Mine would look like finger paint compared to yours!
  8. @Chenner29 The Ross paintjobs look very amateurish. I would love to show these pix to graphic arts professors I know. And two stories about damaged masques make one give pause about using her as a painter. I actually will let the puck marks and subsequent stitch marks be my paint job.
  9. My only critique is that the indicator number (alerts) is the same colour as the header. But it’s alright.
  10. Carbon fibre can be laminated with different resins imparting different colours. Epoxy is amber, poly resin cures brownish. There are many grades of carbon fibre. Carbon fibre can do many things. You have to remember with a hockey stick that there is a LOT of twisting and impact, even more than a masque would EVER receive. You can use a bit of carbon to make a mostly kevlar masque deflect a LOT less. It all depends where it is in the layup. If it is outside, it is, at most, cosmetic; isually with a scrim coat of fine fibreglass over top for easy finishing. Heck- I used to dye fibreglass to give a carbon “look” on bike frames as it draped much easier than carbon fibre (and thusly told my customers) and was easy to smooth. I understand and respects Protechsport’s reluctance to use carbon fibre, but I would not immediately dismiss carbon, either.

    Bauer Gear

Yes- 3mm for the holder, 4mm oitside. Same as the fatblade for Step’s own holder.

FYI- 4mm steel for a 3mm holder (a.k.a. “fatblade”) will be available in Canada from Step for the Vertexx holder very soon if you don’t like 3mm steel.
  13. Those are Rangers pads or Capitals pads? j/k Those pads are gurt lush!!!!!
  14. Hey- they did great likenesses of T Swizzy and Beyonce. I only kid about Bea Arthur as she is the antithesis of what most would have painted on their masques. If Mrs. bunnyman666 and I had a litter, we would have rather our daughter emulate T Swizzy than many other pop tarts. Talent? Yes. Business sense? Yes. My style of music? Hell no! But I am old and only like stuff that came out before the end of the century. You have a very cool collection of masques. I for one, want to see them even if they don’t have Bea Arthur on them!!!!
  15. And not a dignified lady like Bea Arthur... Back on topic, the demonic rabbit almost has his next Protechsport masque scheme all cooked up!!!!
  16. Best deal for a mid-level masque EVER!!!! You just have to wait a while.
  17. You’re not in Canada, eh? Tough time getting a cateye there... I thought goalieparts.com would have Sportmask cages, but they don’t... Sorry, mate.
