@Windmill save I'm gonna go with many points Coop brought up. Playing big and square totally based on your gear can be somewhat counter productive in a way. Based on your pic, you don't look very tall (yet) and you have a very low stance. in your case, focusing on angles and depth could be your best tool in your learning curve to help cut down on those top corners. And do not neglect your skating abilities as getting to the spot before the shot is released will be greatly to your advantage as well. Look at Sarro with the Preds. He's currently the shortest goalie in the show and has developed those exact same skills I mentioned above to make him one of the best in the league of giants. You could learn quite a bit by studying his games. You mentioned Mckenney. Their shoulder width tend to be on the wide side, without exaggerating. That being said, proper sizing is highly important as to not hinder movement or mask mobility that can screw up your side vision on backdoor plays.

So the difference is barely noticeable? My GT, said to be a 70 is almost in between. Having tried the Bauer 9000 and the JRZ Fusion, both 60, the difference is somewhat noticeable compared to my GT.

I think a retail sewn 75 and a custom whatever-you-want should be the way to go. Not sure if it's been mentioned but, is it not ironic that the goalie testing the G6 overseas is a Smith himself? Smith testing "by Smith". Just pointing out

Clearly a 2 piece boot if you've noticed the hinge dot at the ankle bone. It will be interesting to know what kind of materials will be used. I'm expecting a composite, something like plastic/carbon/rubber, for flex yet rigidity and protection. Obviously a mold injection approach. Weight should be mid range.

So what's the 411 on these? Anymore leaks anywhere? Any ETA info?

Brown, Bauer, Mckenney GPX1, are some of the brands that use the one unit sweater like set-up and you either have the arms measured to the proper length (as with Brown) or simply adjust it with the velcro pulls available.

I like the oval side walls like on my TGC Reebok P1 but mine are kinda thin and they tend to curve like concave. Wonder if the original Koho did the same. I remember my H5 pro had the same walls but much thicker.

The cups will most likely not be removed but will forever be linked to this dark moment. If anything, the Hawks should be banned from this season's playoffs from the get-go, but that would be unlikely as Bettman's interests in the finance of the series is far greater. It would be a terrible loss for the new guys in who have nothing to do with it. It's a dark mess that is not new in sports and will likely resurface again somewhere sometime and expose again some unfortunate victims.

If they only knew. Unless a brand plays a sponsor role in their coaching school/clinics, there is no rhyme or reason to be biased. The problem even leaks into stores where most brands present are CCM/Bauer/Vaughn. I had one store owner flat out tell me that he won't carry Warrior gear because it's "not legal". I had to byte my tongue hard. Throw in JRZ, McKenney, Passau, Kenesky...all top notch brands that all had their hands in the show working for the popular crowd at one time or another, and yet few know of them.

Thanks. I'm not an expert either but I have lost 2 chest pads because mold somehow got into them despite my strict after game routine.
