Has anyone messed with the knee strap setting from within the knee block to lengthen it? I wasn't aware you could do that. When I tried to attach the outside wing to the furthest setting to try it out on ice, the knee strap (neoprene) wouldn't extend far enough making half of the male velcro side rub on the sock material behind my knee.

For pads, it depends on what you like and how they are holding up. If you prefer a stiff pad, when they get too soft or bendy is a good sign, although today's pads seem stiff forever. If they had tons of repairs and you're now knee deep in duck tape, it might be time. As for the rest of the gear, it's all about safety, protection. If you get hurt or bruised every single game, it's time for upgrades. Some guys have had the same pads and gloves for decades and aren't ready to change. I've worn a Brown chest pad for a decade and could of still rocked it maybe another 10 had I not bought something else at that time.

The G3s had leather straps option capabilities, right?

Game and personal pressure. It's not all roses and butter tarts at the top. Lots of money and fame but a shit load of expectations and pressure. Looking at how Allen is struggling right now, we're gonna miss Price a WHOLE lot!

Last time I tried a Brian's glove was the Airlite way back. I'm sure they've changed quite a bit since then. The back hand gave me zero issues. In fact it was a good welcome for post hugging situations and when reaching into scrambles to freeze the puck. It looks bigger, yes, but felt no different than my Warrior GT. It's a dome like cover, not overly thick or bulky.

What I saw against the Leafs tonight is a bunch of crap. Anything we had going up to the finals last season has gone and died. Some trades did not do us well in preserving a possible go at the cup again this season. Toronto played a solid game. Montembeault held his own despite the loss. Shot differential between both teams was absurd.

Floaters ride too high for my liking. If the GT2 Pro was too beefy, I'm not so much interested in getting a similar bulky unit. I don't mind feeling the shots as long as I don't get an unnecessary injury. If they made a more streamlined floater, I would put them in the bucket list.

My GT2 Pro was way too much for me. I'm eyeing quite a few other models/brands and I'm kind of thinking of adding the simple SR G5 to the list. It looks thick enough for any level of hockey under Pros and Major Juniors IMO.

I'm just going to jump into the thick of things with the goalies. So at the top we have Price, who is still unfit to play. We have Allen who is pushed into the #1 spot. Then, rising from the bottom (Rockets) we have Primeau, McNiven, Poulin, another cat I don't know and can't remember his name right now, and they just grabbed UFA Montombant from the Panthers. Now I honestly don't see Poulin sticking around much in either teams. Can't speak for the "forgotten" one since I haven't seen him play. McNiven should IMO have a shot with the Habs for exposer and practice. Primeau is still their darling Price replacement project as I see it. Don't know where Montombant will fit in. So when Price is finally clear to play, Jake will go back to his original role, but where does that leave the crop down in Laval? Has Montreal complicated things for the Rockets?

I wear this, have been for the past decade. Other than the Warrior topping the shoulder crest, looks pretty similar. I just don't know if the interior is gel like mine or just eva foam.
