Yeah, I'm not big on the boot strap. I only order it because I have the Kenesky pad carrying strap and it makes carrying the pads super easy. I will probably end up removing the boot strap itself and keeping the buckle.

Didn't realize I never posted a photo of this - here's a picture of the wear on the boot strap. This is happening to both pads. Happened to both pads within 10 skates. The red color is kind of plastic-y and I assume it is glued to the leather boot strap, but it comes off very easily.

The upcoming GSX leg pad refresh looks like they're bring a lot more value to that bottom-tier / introductory price point with Stabiliflex and a CORTech calf plate. Axis 2 had DRS at that price point, but I prefer Bauer's knee system - seems to seal sightly better than CCM's.

Theragun is having a holiday sale. Devices have been marked down at Pure Hockey and Goalie Monkey (and presumably other non-hockey retailers). However, if you're looking at the Pro unit, think about getting it direct from Theragun. The top-end Pro product includes a free device replacement plan. Brand new? Only way to get it is custom through CCM or True. Bauer makes one too but only for professionals, AFAIK. Not sure how close the Warrior with 90 degree liner is to a real 580.

There's been a big shift to social media marketing and away from traditional marketing - Facebook, Instagram, YouTube - videos and written information that are advertising thinly disguised as reviews. Way cheaper to send an influencer a stick, skates or pads instead of going out and shooting a full-on commercial. Let the influencer do the work for you!

IIRC, the colored E+ pads (as seen in the catalog) are still on order. I don't think any colored Pro pads were booked. No clue on full right.

Holy cow. Website still says $695 CAD for the full Kevlar build. Were you asking for the smooth interior finish, too?

Maybe someone can keep a list as to what pads these work with? Something like: Compatible, no modification required (Plug and play) Warrior G6 SR/INT Warrior G5 SR/INT Vaughn Velocity 5 Compatible with slight modifications Warrior GT/GT2? Warrior G4 Not-Compatible (or Not Compatible without significant work)

I fully covered the knee and calf and I came to the conclusion that it was a bit too much slide. Try doing the knee only and see if that works for you. IT should be quick and easy because the knee landing is square. Trimming and cutting for the calf is a little bit tricky as it is trapezoidal.

I remember ten years ago, Michel had these foam-like sweatbands that were just awful. The ones he includes now are way better and comparable, IMO, to Sham-Wow sweatbands.

Hi all, For sale is my full set of custom Bauer Machs. I received these in May 2022 and used them approximately twice a week until I got my Axis 2 set in September 2022. I approximate the number of uses at 30. Definitely not more than 40 skates. Gear is in excellent shape. Leg pads still have some of that new gear smell to them. Catcher is still not 100% broken in. Pictures were taken minutes before this post. No rips or tears on any pieces of the gear, but there is some minor fraying on the triangular jenpro piece at the boot. Feel free to ask for additional pictures and I will get them to you post-haste. These are are SR Small, which is Bauer's 33". It fits slightly smaller than my Axis 2 - also a 33". Great pads. Superior to my Axis 2 in nearly every respect - hardness and consistency of rebounds and comfort. But the weave on my AX2 set seems to slide better than base SLIDER skin that these come with. But the real reason is that I cannot quit the 580 catcher that I have with AX2. Looking for $1,600 shipped USD CONUS from California. Will post these pads at a higher price on SLS in a couple days.
