  1. Top notch but lacking elbow floater protection. Perfectly substantial against AHL guy even after months of use. Maybe a little toasty but that could be just me or Texas hockey. A sheet of foam fixed my elbow floater protection problems.
  2. Precisely my point. I’ve had several V1 Pro+ sticks and they were my first super lightweight sticks. After those I switched to hyperlites which were even lighter so it’s crazy to find out that this pro stock feels lighter than my hyperlites. Might need to talk to scheel a little more and see if he’d mind ordering extras of his spec in just black and white lmao
  3. Lol in order for that to happen I pretty much have to make it out of the NA3 next year and keep climbing. Which means I have to play games in this league in order to get noticed which I haven’t yet due to being the youngest goalie on my team by 3 years. Although that is the dream and I’ll keep chasing it for as long as I can. One of my buddies who plays NA3 got to try out for the ECHL Allen Americans so it’s not unheard of.
  4. Well at least my chest protector fits me. I think his has actually gotten bigger again this past year.
  5. Got a new “broken” stick today from Adam Scheel at the Texas Stars practice. Super cool iridescent green with a nice low kick. And just a minor chip in the heel so it’s completely usable. Forgot to add, this is as light if not lighter than my hyperlites
  6. Yup I saw him today and I am in fact taller than Khudobin
  7. Maybe instead I can see how tall I am compared to Khudobin since I’m 6’0” roughly
  8. Yup there’s nothing on the bottom but I haven’t had any issues with the heel of my stick wearing out from skating and I don’t tape the heel so I don’t see why I’d have an issue now
  9. Bit the bullet and was pleasantly surprised Much to the amusement of my junior team I switched my game sticks over to these weird rezztek blade sticker things. In all honesty I thought it was just a way for kids to avoid taping their sticks but right off the bat there’s a noticeable difference in puck control. It’s much easier to lift the puck than tape and more consistent. I’m still not sure it’s worth the price but it certainly performs. I’ll follow up with some point on how durable it actually is.
  10. Don’t ruin my dream of getting the shortest kid on my team to take a picture with him.
  11. The long awaited return Big Ben in hyperlites and using a Bauer stick for once. I wonder how long he’s had that practice glove. From what I’ve heard Bishop will be starting Thursday’s Texas Stars game.
  12. Precisely my point lol. I’m more worried about cracking the lexan during the bending process than I am worried about it cracking from a shot.
  13. Considering how well lexan holds up for blocker boards and skate shot blockers I expect it should be fine especially since it’s on the sliding surface.
  14. @coopaloop1234is probably going to make fun of me for this as he has every right to but after comparing SLR3 to G6 in a catalog and in person I think my mind has been changed yet again. That and Warrior is less expensive
  15. Didn’t notice til today that the shots from those guys were hard enough to snap the plastic in the back of my glove T. Thankfully it doesn’t affect play at all other than the pocket might be a little softer than before
  16. Got to have a pretty sweet morning skate yesterday I knew AHL guys would be fast but not that fast. That said I did only allow 1 goal on about 13 shootout shots.

    Vaughn SLR 3

+1 on this I had the same experience
  18. Warrior gear in the ECHL. Slowly getting somewhere as long as nobody convinces him to wear a different brand.
  19. There’s more to both of those than that. The pads being switched to Velcro led to lower weight and these skates will lead to a more consistent fit.
  20. Those are downright hideous but I would still like to own them.
  21. Correct there is no adhesive which is intentional. I’m going to roll the edges around the knee sliding plate to hold it on and prevent it from sliding side to side. To keep it from slipping off I’m going to make a Velcro strap to hold it on unless it ends up not needing anything to stop it from sliding off. The goal is to copy warrior’s design without seeing the exact design. This will make much more sense when I receive the polycarbonate and turn my idea into a physical product.
