  1. Just got a new stick I’ve been wanting to try a 24in paddle for a long time now and it’s safe to say I love it. It feels like I have a much more active stick side and better blocker positioning. Puck handling will take some getting used to since I’m still whiffing over the puck every time I try to make a move.
  2. I love Sara’s work and would like to continue to support her plus I’ve heard good things from @southpawtendy48 about the PAW knee guards. If I invest in new knee pads before new leg pads it’ll most likely be PAW.
  3. There’s a reason I got black crotch material
  4. Just looked at the landing again and it looks like it’s just laced shut so not a big deal to replace. Just not sure if it’s worth it considering I’ll be ordering new pads soonish
  5. As the title says I’ve recently had tons of knee bruising from dropping to butterfly. I have pretty bony knees so I’m unsure if it’s just time for new knee pads (had Warrior X2 Pro for since they came out) or need to fill the knee landing on my pads with a different foam. The knee landing area on 2S isn’t exactly soft and comfy. Looking for solutions and/or knee pad suggestions.
  6. @RichMan I’m kind of biased towards the white pants for two reasons. 1. They're worn by the stars 2. I own a pair of white goalie pants
  7. Judging by how clean and pretty blackwoods pads are recently my guess is the answer is no thus far.
  8. A better look at just how thin Blackwoods “SLR2” leg pads are
  9. Although the 600 is the closest break angle to a warrior glove it still closes very very differently. 600 closes at the base of the fingers rather than mid palm like a 580. If you want something that feels more like a warrior I’d recommend 580
  10. Now that I think about it an interesting idea would be for true to acquire McKenney. I’m not sure it makes any sense with Lefevre already let of the True family but with mckenneys knowledge in pants and chest protectors it could be what they need
  11. Well the torti is a little special and tends to run head first into things at full speed. The hardwood floors probably don’t help lol
  12. A welcome change is that goaliemonkey will be accepting true gear orders in april
  13. SLR3 leg pads with SLR2 skin and strapping. Confirmed by Dennis himself. The core is noticeably thinner and has a bindingless outer edge similar to axis and L20.1
  14. These pants are awesome. Super flexible after the initial break in skate and unbelievably comfortable. The leg barrels are huge so you won’t be lacking coverage. Highly recommend especially considering the price
  15. Lord the 870 pants are stiff to start with good thing they break in nicely. The sizing is spot on most pants I can’t wear without suspenders but these I had no issue surprisingly

    JRZ gear

Highly considering a JRZ set thanks to the pricing and looking at my other options a Fusion set would suit me better than most.
  17. At last they’ve arrived Ordered January 7th. Size small +1 length, an unusual base color, and side stripes. Looking forward to cleaning them after every single skate (hopefully the nylon shells don’t bleed into this)
  18. Let’s just say my first steps on the ice in these skates were shaky. The pitch really really threw me off. I think so far I prefer the one piece pitch but the height is amazing I feel much bigger in net and thanks to my narrow foot the attack angle is ridiculous. I wasn’t catching my edge at all during shuffles which is something I would’ve expected coming from a much lower skate and more stable skate. Ironically I feel I can put more power to the ice in the two pieces because the blade is moving farther relative to my foot.
  19. I’ll be getting about 4 hours of ice time tonight as my first skate in them. I’ll let y’all know how it goes in combination with my modified G4’s (added a leather boot strap and G5 calf wrap)
  20. It’s the stuff like this that keep people in True skates After sending my one piece skates back twice within a year to get repaired (only the right skate had issues oddly. The left is perfect), True offered to replace my skates free of charge with two piece skates or new one piece skates. I opted for the two piece skates to be safe and will provide further updates as I go. True’s customer service is second to none. The only charge I payed throughout my experience was the initial purchase.

    Mckenney Gear

@Drew37 out of curiosity I have two questions. How much do the pants you ordered weigh and was there anything else in the box. Shipping label says the box is 8lbs for size small pants
