Via GoalieGearNerd on Instagram. An inner calf wrap pretty much sells me on wearing warrior next season. As y’all know my biggest and pretty much only gripe with the G5 set that can’t be changed via custom is the fact that the calf wrap didn’t work very well for me.

I did end up using the original lacing on my G3 Pro glove. After nearly 3 years of use in juniors and travel hockey the netting was ready to fall apart. If I have any issues at all I have different cord on hand to avoid breakage. And as for the reason warrior’s idea works so well, since it’s a mesh pocket and not a lace pocket the holes can’t stretch any bigger than they already are whereas you guys mentioned mine can. I hope to get ice time today with this pocket.

It’s pretty snug. Not near as much give as the previous pocket.

I'm close with Dallas Stars ebug and manager of my local rink, Kenny Carroll (the guy who wore Mckenney his whole career and had his number retired by the mudbugs) but I don't think that's what you're looking for.

Just completed a glove relace and will test it over the course of the season. First picture is a comparison of new lace to old and second and third pictures are the final product. This was inspired by Warrior’s warp pocket prototype and greatly increases visibility within the pocket. The holes are also small enough that a puck shouldn’t get through.

Junior hockey has already taken a relationship or two from me due to the distance.

Doesn’t help that when you live in a hockey community like Texas everyone wants the shiniest and newest and best looking. They don’t give a damn about performance. Don’t get me wrong I love looking good as much as the next tender but if the pad sucks what good does it do? In Texas it’s super frustrating because the other guys selling gear at our store don’t push for warrior in the slightest. Everyone pushes ccm or bauer as comfortable vs performance (respectively). Warrior is constantly looked down upon at our store and throughout the hockey community sadly. Hoping that a product some day soon changes that. I imagine they hoped the helmet would be that product and I gotta say we’ve sold almost as many F1 buckets as we have Bauers. Apologies for rambling.

I’m a bit late to the party but I’m not sure what Dallas is thinking. Picked up Holtby but already have Oettinger, Khudobin, and questionable Bishop. Maybe Holtby is expected to help get Otter’s feet truly on the ground and fill the roll bishop was supposed to for this season. (It’s also been awhile since a ccm goalie was on the stars the last one to my memory was bishop or lehtonen my mind would be blown if otter and bishop can get Holtby in bauer)

Indeed you do! After briefly speaking with warrior there's a few options not on the customizer that they'll do! A leather toe bride was one of those things. The graphic looks pretty good on G6. Very interested to see what exactly was changed on the leg pads because it doesn't appear to be much. Maybe a slimmed down but still full height outer roll?

I can vouch for G5 not being a stiff pad after a few uses. If I order a G6 set I’ll make sure to get the stiffer option with single break if they offer it

Warrior could definitely do better at custom options than they currently are. I’d like to see sewn in blocker palm position options at custom as well as sewn in palms as mentioned above. I would also like to see a toe bridge option and maybe a different strapping system because personally I’m not a fan of the giant wrap. If I remember correctly warriors laced in leg channel was designed for ease of assembly and ease of modification. It’s about time they made use of that and offered different strapping setups through custom. An optional wrist strap would be nice as well

Following this thread very closely. I may have just got a ccm set but I’m still a warrior guy at heart. Plus the league I’m in gets deals on warrior anyways. I wonder if it’s too late to cancel my G5 glove order and pull some strings to ask for G6. For once I can also say the graphic looks promising from that pic.

Just wanted to update this and put it to rest. UPS found my sticks and sent me a new tracking number. All is well.

Mine was sent via ups oddly. All the shipping labels on the box either say 1 of 1 nexus sticks or 2 of 2 packages which either means A. There’s a missing package or B. My hyperlite chest was the first package and I don’t know where the goalie sticks are. Apologies if I sound a bit upset, I was hoping to have these sticks before I left since my warranty EF4 is cracking which leaves me with just my axis stick.

This is a bit of a shot in the dark but has anyone ordered custom player sticks and goalie sticks in the same order? I received an email today stating my custom goalie sticks and player stick had been delivered but when I got home only the player stick was waiting for me. I’ve already emailed bauer customer service I just wanted to see if anyone on here has experience with this issue.

Stilllll going sadly. Gotta finish 3 more classes then I can graduate.
