I think it should be more like the original rule change before banning the spinorama, which I believe was to change "forward motion" to "continuous motion" to justify the move at first. So it's not how long it's on your stick, but if you were to take any freeze frame of the motion and recreate that as a still position in real-time, and the puck would stay on your stick, then it's illegal. I'd put it in the same category as the rule that technically allows a player (with forward momentum) to twist around behind them and grab a puck that is up in the air and then immediately place it in front of them, because that's where their momentum was going, and have that be legal. Maybe that rule has changed since the one time I ever saw it happen though.

There definitely seems to be an injustice in hockey that there are way more "non-hockey" things that shooters can pull off that make it way harder on the goalie, but not so much the other way around.

While I'm in the camp that doing this and making contact with the goalie's mask should be a high sticking penalty and not a goal, ultimately I think this will fall into the category of "let the kids play." It doesn't happen that often, this one is a pretty precise one that I'd even have a bit of trouble justifying as high sticking other than a "letter of the law" call, and I don't think it violates the spirit of the game. This is also probably one of the laziest RVH's I've seen in the NHL in a while. It's one thing for beer league goalies to rely on playing percentages, but Rittich needs to get back on his feet with Svech setting up with time and space. The higher percentage play on this is a pass out front which he won't be able to effectively drive out to from his knees. And if you REALLY want to use RVH here, then he shouldn't be slinking back so much into the net, he should be actively leaning and peeking around the post at the guy with the puck so he knows what's coming. In terms of the rule change, I would agree that the rule should be that you can't carry the puck on your stick in a manner that you can be standing still and the puck is sitting on your stick, off the ice. But ultimately I think this falls into the category of plays like what they introduced the coaches challenge for. It's not such a big problem that it necessitates a rule change (they got that wrong by introducing the challenge). I also don't like the play, for the record, but I see ways to prevent/defend it as a goalie and don't think a rule change is needed other than calling contact with the goalie's head.

I'm not entirely sure how patent law works, but I feel like if you build a business specifically on a certain accessory, you would have some kind of patents to the specific design to prevent it being just straight up adopted by everyone. At least a ProLaces design, or the Nash, Vaughn etc. ones look like they had to change something. Just an interesting observation for me, not really a comment on the pads themselves. The different colourways definitely make the graphic a little less shocking, so I'm sure it will normalize the more we see it. I'm curious about that hex/weave/embossed material though. Wassup with that?

The way the skin is being worn away on Freddy's blocker tonight it makes me feel like a good reveal would be to give him the full new set and cover it all in pad skins. Then reveal small panels every couple games until marketing starts up. Maybe not great for padskins, but would be fun to see haha

Getting referred to an orthopedic surgeon because my hips have way more arthritis in them than they should for someone at age 31, so we'll see where this goes. Haven't played since March and after reading this thread, I'll be pretty on-board if they want to scoop them out and replace them

I have also had some issues like that. The bottom ad will block the little notification that pops up when you have mentions/PM's etc. so I can't see it or tap it. Some layout issues with big gaps between ads but that's mostly at the very top of the screen and not at all within topics/threads. I'm on Android, Galaxy S8. Pretty occasional, but seems to be a side effect of an ad related update a little while back. It's better than the ads I used to get, but messes with the layout a bit.

How much does the bag weigh? Did you get the rounded shoulders? Trying to figure out if I'd like that and if I'd have to order a size larger if I did. Haven't had a chance to see if the retail stores have any with that option but not expecting much
