  1. Got it. That size tubing is bigger than I thought it would be
  2. Sounds like a world class dbag.
  3. Can they be custom spec'd to not be recessed? You know, just in case...
  4. Gotcha. Ok no worries. I have too many sticks as it is. Warrior sticks just do not break.
  5. They gave you some of his sticks for free? What are his specs? Lol
  6. Man I would love one of those sticks for if I ever play with my Knights team again.
  7. Please post a location for shipping purposes. Thank you.
  8. Just placed an order for a gallon of Clear Gear. Hopefully I like it lol.
  9. Pictures from my game last night at UBS Arena after the Islanders - Blue Jackets game.
  10. Ok thanks. I think I am leaning towards Clear Gear but the Sweat X is my #2. As far as the second part of your post, yea just dry everything out as you already do and then spray everything down with the Sweat X right before you pack it away. That way it has a chance to get into everything before being prematurely dried by the fans blowing on it.
  11. Last night my Veteran team the LI Warriors played on the UBS Arena ice after the Islanders - Blue Jackets game. We were issued the worst seats in the house at a group discounted rate. Literally the last row against the wall in the upper bowl, thanks Islanders lol. Plus we were separated all over the place. It was pretty empty so the group of guys that I was seated near all moved down to better seats. It was my first time at UBS since it opened. The arena is beautiful. Lots of open space in the concourses. Lots of places to get food, different bars strewn about. The Islanders have always marketed themselves as "Long Island's team" so I found it odd that 90% of their in arena branding is all NYC themed. They have the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building everywhere. You can practically see MSG in a lot of their in arena promos lol. Anyway, I made the stupid mistake of going to the game without eating in about 6 hours so I spent a mortgage payment on food. A delicious double cheeseburger with grilled onions and some "special sauce", 2 hot dogs, 2 trays of fries, a pretzel braid, and I think 4 waters throughout the night. Suffice it to say, I was not feeling well come game time lol. I could barely bend over to tie my skates. I have to say, this experience was leaps and bounds better than a similar experience playing at the Nassau Coliseum some years ago. We had a much better area to get changed and ample time to do so. They actually cut the ice for us, and they weren't rudely rushing us on and off the ice. We played to a very fun 2-2 tie and no one knew what to do immediately afterwards. Our arena host happily told us we were able to play a 4 shot shootout which we ended up losing 2-1. Oh well. I played at MSG quite a few years ago as well and last night I found myself making the same mistakes that I made when I played at MSG. I was too into prepping for the game and focusing on the game that I didn't give myself a chance to really absorb the experience. Aside from the group picture at the end, I didn't take any pictures. Not with my own phone nor posing with any team mates for pictures. I didn't take much time to look around the arena from the ice. I didn't soak it in as much as I feel I should/could have. All in all though, it was a fun night. Fun fact, we have weekly practices as the Islanders' practice facility. The ice is better there than it is at UBS lol. There was a photographer on hand, I'll have to get some pictures to add to the action shot thread.
  12. This sucks! . I guess we both have our research to do. How about we agree to make sure we each use a different product and we can report to each other what we think compared to Andy's stuff? Edit - wait I forgot you're already using Clear Gear for some of your gear. Are you just going to continue using that on all of your gear?
  13. This goes for everyone, not singling out anyone. I don't mean to come of brash but I do not care if you don't spray your gear. I am specifically asking people who do spray their gear use and how they like it. Chiming in and saying you don't spray your gear adds nothing but clutter to the thread. Thank you.
  14. Where do you get Sweat-X? Your current method is working for you so this might be moot, but, may I make a suggestion? Dry your gear as you are currently doing but spray the gear once it is already done with your drying process. I found that to be a bit more effective since you're not rushing the drying process of your spray. Letting it sit and dry at its own rate lets it soak deeper into your gear.
  15. Yes! Message him and see what he says. You're getting 10, I was going to order 5 or 6. Maybe he'll go for it? He did tell me that he has been extremely busy with other stuff so it might end up being for naught but we can hope!
  16. I've been using GSBB user HandyAndy's homemade spray concoction for quite a long time now. It is essential oil based, works very well at killing the smell of my gear and doesn't leave behind a residue. He just informed me that he is currently out of stock and unsure if he will be making more anytime soon. I am in a bit of a panic here. I've done the water and alcohol mixture prior to using Andy's stuff and it doesn't work anywhere near as well. I was also informed that the alcohol can dry out the materials over time and advised not to use it anymore. I want something that smells good but isn't too strong. I want something that doesn't leave behind a residue, especially in gloves. What do you all use?
  17. Thank you, you just reminded me I need to order a new cage for my Pro's Choice.
  18. I prefer than over the monotone "I have no clue what to say" excuse of a broadcaster that is AJ Mleczko .
  19. I still have a few sets of both my Marine desert cammies and green cammies. Not sure I would be able to fit into the blouses very well anymore though lol.
