That is straight up lunacy. I get hit in the nuts plenty. Knees, never. I've graduated to sort of a knee pad but its more for comfort landing on the knee block than actually protecting my knees.

This is another negative to playing with players of lesser skill levels. They have no idea what they're doing. Hope you're ok bud.

I took off the winter season with the Knights to put more focus on the Warriors right now. God to I miss playing with the Knights. The team, the rink, the league, the talent level, the mindset, the competition. Its just so much better hockey. We played in the championship game again for the fall season. Our first in our current league. Ended up losing 4-3. 0-2 now with the Warriors. Last night I played really well, lost 2-1. Its tough knowing I'm going to have to play close to perfect to give these guys a chance to win. Even at such a lower level, it messes with my mindset sometimes. Not that its not a well known phenomenon to us that playing down is sometimes harder than playing up. We're hosting one of the Washington DC Warrior teams tomorrow in an outdoor game. Looking forward to that, I haven't played outdoors in forever.

We do nothing about anything. We don't care about covid. We're living our normal lives as much as we can. Women in the locker room pretty much what WillyGrips said. If she is in the room we still gotta change. We let her shower first and get herself out of the way after games. In my other league, there a girl who even showers with the guys on her team. That I would stay away from, my wife would probably flip if she found out lol.
