Your mind would be blown if you got your hands on a T2000 glove. I've used cordrua on the ice. The snow will build up on it. Spraying will help but the texture alone grabs the snow. It's not terrible as it will play consistent.

It's an interesting occurrence that is fading away with the current players able to use brand new gear right away. No more of this:

I haven't cut the top of my head since the lockdown. Was trimming the sides as best I could. With my office staying closed - I'm letting my flow go. I usually keep it pretty short. Right now, my hair is past my eyes. My wife told me I should just go with a mullet. Game on. Problem is the top got a few months head start from the party in the back. Not sure what mess my head will be by Christmas.

So true. Different league now though. How many guys were over 30 in 1991 versus how many guys today? I'd bet that there was a significant drop since 1991. Most teams almost completely turn over in 5 seasons today. New teams just starting with draft picks are only a few seasons behind now. Sprinkle in some guys with a few years of pro experience and you can catch up almost instantly now (Knights). Not true in 1991. Sharks were a decade behind. Took them over a decade to win their division.

There is a dude at the local sandwich shop near my office in Philly that has flyers logos tatooed on the sides of his head. His head is shaved. The logos are in the same location on his head that the Flyers have them on the sides of their helmets. I'd snap a pic of him - but the last thing you do is snap a pic of a burly white dude with a shaved head that delivers for a hoagie place in Fishtown. So, use your imagination.

Hrivnak was a gear god. Even his Caps gear looked dynamite on the Jets. He always did gear colors perfect. Even his setup with the Blues was legendary. The use of red on the gloves was a great touch.

Played in a league where there were just penalty shots for every penalty. Sucked. How no faceoffs? Is it like Mite hockey where the coach just throws the puck off the boards and everyone skates after it?

When I coach, I constantly tell the kids that the ice is just frozen spit. So don't eat the snow and get up quick from the ice.
