  1. Lionel Ritchie says otherwise.
  2. I havent had any issues going cowlingless, with bad shots or anything. Trues toecap seems pretty solid and so far has been for me. Ill probably try 3mm with a profile in a couple of weeks, have the steel just need to put it on, but ive been getting my legs underneath me still.
  3. I have 4mm in my trues. I tried a pair of Bauer 1x which had 3mm and it didnt go well for many reasons, namely skates being loose due to eyelet problems. was like a baby deer on ice. I havent tried 3mm since
  4. I think the 2000 was full kevlar, 5000 was fiberglass, kevlar reinforced and the 8000 was polycarbonate. How flexible is the mask? Smooth on the inside or bumpy?
  5. him taking our his d partner definitely didnt have anything to do with it...
  6. Awful pylon defenseman yelled at me to get back in net after I moved out to cut down angles on a high percentage shot last night. No I wasnt going back in my crease... its haunted...
  7. I got 3 medicine cabinets and lights to replace the builder grade trash. Then some toddler shoes and more sunhats, carseat, some earbuds for when im in the office, a couple of POE injectors, Led Zeppelin vinyl, universal remotes and a wifi enabler for garage door since im forgetful...
  8. First three games back are in the books for me. First game was brutal, it was 90 degrees out and the rink doesnt use A/C much so I was a sweaty nightmare. It was a final game of the season for my normal team and they needed a goalie, ended up being a 4v4 the entire game. Definitely was sore for about a week. Then our new season started 2 days later and still being sore from the first game, I actually felt pretty good. Second game into the season when I was putting in pegs both my hips tightened up hard and I played through that while facing 30 shots (we actually had a score keeper for once!) Overall not bad getting back on the ice. Post game chapulas are amazing
  9. Then wear a clashing jersey just to look weird. It distracts natural predators
  10. Don't match. You are buying the gear so buy gear with colors you like.
  11. I got around to playing on Sunday. Initial review: These actually work pretty well. Fast to get skates on and secure, stayed the same the whole game. Still not as tight as laces but they work well.
  12. I bought a set of these to try out. Install was super quick. I can get my skates pretty tight with them. Not as tight as laces, but I tend to crank my laces tight. Walked around the house with one on and it seemed pretty good. I play for the first time since March 2020 on Wednesday so ill see how that goes.
  13. I mean I have two weeks to get ready, so its better than watching my stories and eating bonbons
  14. Anyone got tips on wearing a mask under the mask? CCM ones any good? I have about two weeks to get in game shape, mostly been doing squats to keep fitness level somewhat up to date, any other dryland activities to suggest?
  15. These are excellent pants at an extremely good price. Id buy but im too chubbo.
  16. I just got a set of passaus, I havent gotten them on the ice yet, but the calf wing is feels to be about the same construction as the calf wing on my set of Optiks. The actual landing surface is harder than my Warrior G3s as well.
  17. The fit on it is pretty spot on. I was going pad it myself with Eco, but Ray talked me into him padding it and I am glad he did.
  18. It was 900 from Ed then 550 + 90 from Ray to finish it. We switched to a Shark 954 cage for future compatability, since I got a long cage from Ed that probably would be hard to match later on.
  19. Any of the standard spec units would work for you. Brown does every unit custom now, so they can build it exactly how you want it. Probably the 2200 or 2000 would be best.
  20. Generally speaking I dont think you need to wipe down your pads with lysol after every game. Maybe spray with diluted alcohol or vinegar afterwards. The virus has a life span of a few hours to few days living on surfaces, so id just say wash your hands well after handling. Im in PA too, and wayyy too many people just seem to have given up with dealing with the virus.
  21. Richman, I tried a few cages out. CCM looks like itll fit. Protechsport cateye for a theodore mold also works.
  22. Hi Rich, I have a Reidic and a CCM standard cage, I can see if the fit is good for you.
