I went with a 3.0 as I was recovering from an injury, but I want to get a 1.0 as well eventually

I wear Coreshorts sometimes, and I love it. https://coreshorts.com/en-ca
  3. No, it's actually funny. I was wearing my good socks from Stance socks - https://stance.ca/ And I kept on getting this crazy painful abrasion about the size of an eyelet, so I thought the eyelet what was rubbing against my leg so I tried to add cushioning like I wrote above, but somehow it made it worse. Well turns out the issue was the logo on the socks that's made of this rough material and since my skate had really good ankle wrap it was making it dig into my skin. If you have a look at their socks their logo is about the size of an eyelet and they line up perfectly to where the top eyelet goes. Their newer socks have the logo in the back. So yeah in the end, no more issues.
  4. I had an issue like this but for ankle abrasion and it turned out to be my socks. But before figuring that out, I had tried something similar using adhesive felt at first and it did not work as it did not have enough cushioning. I also tried Eva foam with 3M VHB tape and it would not secure well. I then tried thicker Eva foam that I put lace through, so that I could secure it at the top eyelet with a tiny knot with a loop as I wasn't lacing to the top of the skate so the top eyelet was free. Like a custom ComfortEdge. But this too did not work as it shifted too much.
  5. I'm gonna need your source on this please. I want one.
  6. Fowler looking better and better each week. I was able to catch a couple of games when they were showing the BU vs BC series. I thought he was stellar. Monahan didn't sign term so hopefully we can at least be in the mix for a possible landing spot for him in the Summer. I really don't know about Kas, I know he's doing ok in Laval, but I guess in the past he didn't quite look good at the NHL level?
  7. I got one used by chance, I really liked them but when I switched pants they started to interfere a bit so I got a different pair that came up a bit higher with a more rounded top so that the pant leg would go over it without jamming when I drop. If they had worked for the new pants, I prob would have gotten another pair but with that thick cushioning (I still may and ask her to make it just a bit taller). I should put them up for sale as they are in quite good condition including the elastics.
  8. Oh never got to but it's a funny story, let me explain what I had issues with. During a long tourney with my new skates, I was getting terrible blisters and pain on on the inside upper ankle. They looked like the size of eyelets and it lined up perfectly to the top eyelet. So the original diagnosis was that I didn't have this issue with my previous skates because the angle of the sideways bend due to the lower height of the skate wasn't as severe and also the ankle wrap was poor so I had more leeway in the side to side movement (which isn't ideal), but with the newer skate height the pressure on my ankle is more severe and the new skates had a much closer fitting ankle top so it was causing pain and pressure and all that. I tried adding felt and Eva foam but that caused even worse pressure as there wasn't much room there to begin with and my ankle was already pretty beat up and tender from the abrasion. I was ready to call it quits because my ankle had to be taped up with huge bandaids and then clear tape over that which would not hold and caused more issues during games. Even thought about opening up the ankle wrap a bit on the skates using heat. --- Turns out the issue was the type of socks. So because I knew there was going to be a lot more games than I was used to, I decided to wear the newest/best/comfiest socks I had, which were these athletic Stance brand socks (knee high versions of these https://stance.ca/products/icon-crew-socks-3-pack?variant=45288666529960). If you look at the socks, you can see where their logo is printed and it lines up perfectly with the upper eyelet, it turns out that the eyelet size abrasion and pain on my ankle was caused by the logo of the socks rubbing back and forth in the tight fitting skates. Anyway, I emailed Stance and I don't think I was the cause of it because I got no human response back but recently they started putting their logo in the back of the socks for their athletic socks (https://stance.ca/collections/performance-socks/products/crops-crew-socks?variant=43902942380200).
  9. Yeah I like the Axis 2 graphics too, but I'm not a fan of those R2D2/Optimus Prime Brian's
  10. I don't mind moving Dvorak and Allen. Dvorak is decent but a bit redundant with our other forwards coming up the pipeline. Allen was a godsend stabilizer when we needed him, but now that we have two young goalies (plus Fowler if he pans out) I think it's time to remove the training wheels this year or the next. Or get rid of Primeau but I think he could figure it out eventually to take the backup spot and he's still pretty young. I want to keep Monahan, he seems to be a good role model for Dach and the other players seem to love him as well.
  11. With my bad back prone to injury, I need a wheeled bag. This is what I use, https://www.sourceforsports.ca/products/warrior-ritual-goalie-roller-bag-2022 I've been using it for awhile now, and I quite like it. I like that it has three wheels to prevent it from sagging in the middle, it has no metal arm that usually is a point of failure, which also means no metal frame which would make it heavy. It has a lot of handles in strategic positions to maneuver it in and out of the car.
  12. Being a Canadian team used to mean something in the past, but I really don't think it matters anymore with the make up of the team. I wish there was some advantage you could give to drafting or trading for hometown kids, but I also know that it would be unfair and would go against parity.
  13. The underlaying numbers suggests that he's been stealing games, and one of the top in terms of 5v5 goals against. I think this year and the next two will be developmental years where we start trying to get midway.
  14. Would you ever come up to play them? If so, let us know so we can see you play and also make some signs to hold up.
  15. I've used a sweet stick a couple of times as a player, and each time I messed it up. Once it felt way too sharp and the other I must've went over the edge too close as I took out all of the outside edge (I was told to use very light pressure next time). Maybe I would do it in an emergency, but I'd rather stay away from it.
  16. Aren't Goalies allowed to play to the end of the play with a broken stick? I know the half you had in your hand was pretty useless.
  17. Superfeet nor the Bauer speedplates worked for me. But I do love the Graf Sidas one like I've said in the past, I don't mind the Genetix ones either but I have heard that TF lines are not good for those with Wide feet. If I still had issues and the means, I would look at something like a custom insole like https://www.lakecycling.com/products/custom-insole or go full ortho from a foot doc.
  18. I think the best bet is to try it on in person. I fit pretty well in an NME mask in the past, but when I tried the Warrior just for fun I found it to be really tight on the cheeks.
  19. I see that it's a general kit. Having tried both a general kit and a mask specific kit from Resilient, I will say that for me the mask specific kit was way easier to work with. But if your mask is not listed, then I guess you have no choice. I like that the Pharaoh one comes with 3DO strips, that's really cool.
  20. Oh yeah I get that but I wonder if storing it properly from now on will help shape it a bit back? I dunno. At least it will stop it from sagging any further. I am jealous though, I wish I was just a bit bigger/taller to be in the market for a unit like that.
  21. The more and more I look at it, I really think the Kraken design team did a great job in creating an identity.
  22. I gotta pick this one up
