  1. @raidersgoalie @Zip @indykrap +1 for UA heat gear uppers. I've wore them for years now - usually with at least two in the rotation. They hold up well too. For what its worth - I wear UA cold gear lowers with the same notes as above. Just tights below - no hockey socks.
  2. @ThatCarGuy there's a strange "comfort" that warmups are awful at all levels of hockey while at the same time - sympathy for your less than comfortable outcome due to their shittiness. I'm not even sure what one does for such an injury but may you mend soon.
  3. You certainly could. How do you think mask makers end up with holes to accept cages on their lids? Hint: they drill them. But if you don't take the utmost care in doing so - you could create weak points/cause damage. But that said - in theory - the backplate shouldn't be an impact zone and therefore that maybe becomes a nonissue to you. But why bother/sweat it when there are other (better (?)) options?
  4. @A.YOUNGoalie13 and if you are looking for something more similar to that setup - Pro's Choice has the "quick snap harness": https://progoaliemask.com/quick-snap/ I have them on all (3) of my PC masks (the oldest at 2008 vintage) with zero sign of rust.
  5. I've been through a few wheel bags. Seems the Vaughn offerings had the longest shelf-lives (with Rbk/Reebok/CCM having the shortest life span) so I'll throw a vote for them. Never owned a Warrior bag but am a fan of their equipment and wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. Hope his is helpful.
  6. For what its worth @pd100x - I'd try to lay hands on stock things before pulling the trigger on a smaller palm on a custom set. I'm a smaller dude in general (5' - 4" without Andre the Giant hands) and the only glove where I noticed the palm being a bit too sloppy was Brian's Zero G's from a number of years ago. Had a stock set and ordered a custom set (with the intermediate palm ONLY on the blocker). Outside of that one outlier - its never been problematic for me. Good luck.
  7. Thanks for the primo shots @The Teal Terror. Have to say - the jersey/setup from the Sharks/Seals throwback is far and away my favorite of that particular bunch. Keumper's setup comes in second.
  8. So - pardon my ignorance - in house "brand"? Looks very Boddom-esque for sure or similar to some of the Simmons offerings. Enjoy!
  9. +1 - Roller Bag or die... of course this is kind of moot since my gear lives at the rink and I don't have to cart it around (save for when I play "out of town") but still - represent @seagoal. We aren't all Herculean fits of strength @coopaloop1234 and/or just prefer convenience.
  10. @Lukas I think just painting them straightaway would be a better option than plasti-dip and then paint. Less weight with less layers and regardless of which route you go - you're going to end up redoing things. Best to start with less layers I would think.
  11. I wouldn't recommend bleach as its pretty harsh and could lead to drying things out/cracking. I guess if you are hellbent on making them look "new" paint would likely be the best option... but that'll add a bit of weight when its all said and done... and beg for repeat paintings.
  12. Well - Wilson will at least backup his shenanigans sooo...
  13. Welcome aboard the board @King_Justy32 and great looking set (even if the next one is forever the shiniest toy). Can't go wrong with classic graphics. Hit us with a preview of your True specs/colorway (so that we can envy or judge you accordingly).
  14. Agreeing with most everybody above here. The most damning piece is his own coach calling for him to knock off the antics. Can't get any plainer than that really. ... and for the record - I think the funniest thing in all of this is Binnington's mullet. WOW.
  15. I think the thing here is - guy’s going full speed and trying to cut hard around the net - NOT expecting contact because hey - you're supposed to avoid contact with the keeper and he’s skating around him. Then all of a sudden - keeper snags him high and throws him off balance. It’s a dangerous play. Try it sometime. See how it turns out for you. Should be open season on this guy. Got to course correct.
  16. Wow. What a douche. I can appreciate guys that play with an edge but that’s just a dirty play - and like it’s been said - he’s not exactly “anxious” to back himself up. I’d pretty much condone any team/one running this guy on the regular until he gets some come uppance. Also - it’s not like Jason Zucker has a long history of playing sketchy (or any history for that matter).
  17. Tell me and @Puckstopper something we don't know @coopaloop1234. Rugged good looks to go with impeccable style (and intelligence to boot as outlined above)? We'd be like Brangelina at their peak - world domination. Alas - I am spoken for... though Mrs. Chile is probably looking to upgrade. The important part is F-A-C-T based arguments win the day... again. For good measure - I might also point out that the Wings were quicker to rebound from the dynasty days into another Cup - 2002 to 2008 as opposed to the Avs at 2001 to last year... but then I'd have to glaze over the state of the Wings in the years since sssooo... no thank you.
  18. Wow - seems like a stretch (but post ANYTHING on the internet and you're likely to offend SOMEONE... whether they are truly offended or just like to stir the pot). For the record - NOT offended by this post or of posting this jersey but appreciate you taking a step back and asking the question. I don't think trying to sell a dated Russian jersey speaks to supporting their current endeavors but I could be wrong. Good luck with the sale @Wonder35.
  19. Um - no @coopaloop1234. Don't make me FACT-bomb you by pointing out the Wings secured 3 Cups to the Avs 2 during the heyday of the rivalry. But you know - opinions are like a-holes...
  20. @Chenner29 @coopaloop1234 ugh - thanks for calling that probability to my attention Coop. Consider my "like" rescinded full bore. Kidding (kind of). Tough to be a Roy "fan" if you grew up on the Detroit side of the Wings/Avalance rivalry (even if he has my vote as the best money goalie to ever strap them up) BUT - I can respect a crispy looking set.
  21. @Scythe - the Cliffs Notes version is that he got stuck in a wang measuring contest with the coach at the time (Tremblay) who thought he was more Scotty Bowman than he actually was and "lost". And by "lost" I mean the coach won the wang measuring contest but Patrick got the last laugh. Arguably set the franchise back a decade or so while Roy and the Avalanche become juggernauts. And yes - their defense sucked at the time (the team was pretty much marginal overall as Roy basically carried them to the Cup in 1993).
  22. I think anybody you've listed there would be a pretty distant second. Out of those listed - I'd go with anyone out of the Canadian markets just based on the influence of those markets versus US markets and not necessarily the goalie or their perceived influence.
  23. Got to be the guy with the most hardware/who folks are going to want to emulate - Vasilevskiy.
  24. For what its worth - I picked up a pair of the slide plates for my Simmons ULs. At first I squished what I could of the knee wing in the plate but inevitably it popped back out. Still works as intended - just doesn't fit like a glove.
