  1. That ground clearance is going to be amazing in the snow, and I love the wagon form.
  2. One thing I've wondered is how stiff is too stiff? As in how would a pad that's too stiff be detrimental to someone? I'm guessing if the pads don't have a curve, it would be hard for someone with a narrow flare to close the 5 hole? Or is it more about the feeling of disconnect to the pads?
  3. But they are? I mean how top are you talking about? How many goalies are there in the world? And how many are in the top 1%? 10 thousand? I'm sure some of them are wearing Warrior.
  4. I've tried Superfeet and Speedplate in the past, but for me what finally worked was the Graf/SIDAS footbed. It's the only way I can wear non-Custom TRUE skates that I've found so far. So if Superfeets don't work, try other footbeds, it might work out for you.
  5. My buddy has a Tacoma that he bought 3~4 years ago, was offered more than what he paid for this year and he's contemplating it, and getting a hybrid of sorts.
  6. Friends of mine that work in that sector have told me the same thing time and time again. "Flushable" just means that you can flush them from your toilet and then it becomes everybody else's problem, even the term bio-degradable on some of the better ones are misleading, like yeah technically everything is bio-degradable on an infinite time scale.
  7. In terms of availability? It's been nuts around where I live apparently, the Ioniq 5 and the EV6 have been backordered to god knows when. Those two seem like good replacements for mine once it goes as the range is much better, but that might be awhile.
  8. I saw someone do this intentionally on his G4s, I guess the rise was too tall for him?
  9. I want these, but I'm invested into the Vertexx. I wonder how mangled it will be if I do a swap
  10. Avs (Makar is a joy to watch) and Panthers (I miss Chiarot)
  11. I've got the 2018 Nissan LEAF, only 40kwh, but I can get to Nepean Sportsplex and back from Orleans in the dead of winter and that's all that matters. But it proved to us that when our 2nd car goes, we could replace that with an EV as well. And yeah I got the 220 installed by J.A.R. Electric if you know them, very good work. So if my back of the envelope math is right (prob I made a mistake somewhere) says that my gas car costs us about 20~25 cents per km, whereas our EV costs just above a penny per. So Nepean to Orleans is about 60km both ways, which means that it costs about 12~15$ for a gas car and about a 1$ for EV. On the other hand though, you could prob carpool one more in my gas car, but couldn't easily do so on my Leaf.
  12. What will Edmonton do in the off season? What can they do?
  13. It's been an increase of about 20~30$ a month of driving everyday.
  14. I too, have only tried the G4s and it's sold me on the G5/6. I've heard from my friends that use their GT2s that they are very light coming from what they used to wear, as well as be very forgiving on how it plays.
  15. If you're not into Customs, then I would go G4 if they felt good. I think a lot of folks are trying to sell them off used (to make way for G5/6) so you can go that route as well.
  16. That Bronco looks nice though, and pretty capable if you need that sort of thing (snow, dirt).
  17. When I started living alone I had two cars (money pits) that were super cool but I never went anywhere because it was such a pig on gas. If I was a kid again and were to do it again now, I'd get the cheapest EV I could find (about 14k CDN now, it used to be 8k before the Pandemic), delete the backseat and use it pretty much as a runabout around town. Basically just going to work, getting groceries, and going to Arenas. Looks silly I know, but I'd also be saving like 200~400$ a month on gas, which is quite a bit when you're young.
  18. Those arms look amazing, I like how that piece moves up and down
  19. Anyone know if the Senior line will come out at the same time? There will be just one Senior line right? And I'm speculating the difference will mainly be the inner materials used?
  20. I'm trying a few different ways myself, I tried the Scriven's method of skipping middle to gain flexion, and it did not go so well. I've heard of folks using two short sets of laces to do one loose and do one tight. I'll probably go back to lacing it up normally minus one from the top.
  21. Oh yeah, so his team were in the Semis, in contention for the finals. They needed a good goal differential to move on (4+?). My kid plays lights out, posts a shutout and they moved on to the finals. Gave it a good shot in the finals, and they were winning at one point too, but could not stop this one kid that ended the season with over 2 goals per game. Oh well, it is what it is. It certainly wasn't easy to get the kids back from the highest highs to the lowest lows, but they took it well as a team. This was him before his shutout, it's like he knew haha.
  22. How the f is it not considered a conflict of interest to own both a sports team and a gambling business that makes money on the very outcome of that sports team? It could have been so easy to sell tickets, have them do like a 10+10 promotion where you get 10 NHL tickets and 10 ASU tickets as a package promotion or something similar to absolutely pack the place and get people to come hang outside and tailgate. Show the fans a good time and then make the money off the concession and beer.
  23. Haha I hated the Gloucester Cougars growing up playing for West Island, they were my nemesis! And now my kid plays for the Dukes so the rivalry lives on. Congrats man, hope to see you out there one day.
