I try to mindfully hydrate the day of, I was able to get away with just drinking an extra drink 2hr before games, but now I'm finding that I need to start way earlier. I stretch but not to my limit, I found that going to the limit would slow me down a bit during the game. Stretch on the ice with my gear, take a few warm up shots, quick movement in the crease, then ready to go.

I wonder if strips of car sound dampening material could somehow help? I have no clue how feasible it would be, but I remember a cymbal demonstration where there was a strip of this stuff and it totally dampened the cymbal when you hit it.

I think those measurements might be FTK, if so then we have the same sized legs.

They have not lost their stiffness since I've bought them, or if they did I can't tell (I only play upper intermediate in the summer). The G4 that I tried at the time was pretty brand new, felt pretty good on me too. I was honestly leaning towards getting a new SR level G6 but there was a huge delay and could not pass up on the used 3X deal I found at the time. I think we have the same dimensions, the 34 Warrior felt perfect in sizing and for the 3X I feel like I am right in between M and L. I think I could have gotten away with an L although for the level that I play it prob doesn't make too much of a difference. What might be helping is that I have the professor straps for these and they sit a bit higher than the Warriors did at the time. Also as an aside for the Blocker/Glove, I was able to track down a Hyperlite version of the matching colour scheme and they feel amazing. I'm still not sure which glove angle works for me in the end, but my last game I only really misplayed one where the shot went off the top of the T. Blocker feels nice and comfortable too, much lighter feeling than the Eflex3 that I used to use.

I had been sidelined twice for over a month each time, but otherwise than that I've been playing about twice a week (one easy skate, and one really challenging one). It's held up real well. I've used Warrior G4 Pros a few times, and the 3X felt to me a bit stiffer if that helps.

I don't mind the glass and if I have to live with it, the board ones are updated "offscreen" and static are ok I guess. But the moving ones (one animated one has a gigantic moving puck? WTF?) are horrible. That being said, I saw one feed have this on-ice metric for PP timer, that's kinda cool. PS. To me some jerseys are sacred and should not have ads. There was once where Habs used to give out blank jerseys during training camp and you had to earn the CH crest which meant that you made the team. The only times I've seen them in person were on high-ish level youth goalies at various tournaments here in Ontario.

A bit of both? Haha mind you I'm not a good goalie.

Sometimes I fake bite, and quickly touch one of my pads to the ice and bring it back up which makes them hasten their move.

If you can find PB Blaster, it works extremely well, so much better than WD-40. https://blasterproducts.com/product/pb-blaster-penetrant/ I would also try shocking the screw by hitting the centre of it with a punch and hammer. This may loosen bits. Heat is also good, but you said you didn't have a soldering iron, maybe even just a heat gun/hair dryer, although I would be careful around the other material. Then if that combo won't loosen, then I would get a Dremel and cut enough of the disk to get the screw out of the pads, and then get replacement screws.

Sorry to revive this, but I've recently threw my back out in a bad way recently and as I recover, I need recommendations/reviews on wheeled bags. I've recently got my kid a used GRIT Goalie tower so that he can carry his own gear and he loves it. but I have been wondering if other bags have also held up, particularity the 3 wheeled Warrior one, as I do find the GRIT tower a bit of an odd shape to fit into my car, and a bit tight in terms of space to carry my adult sized large gear. Fitting my pads inside would be a nice plus, but not a must have. Mini review on the 2nd Gen Passau Goalie backpack bag (~4 years of use) I had been using the Passau Goalie backpack bag close to about 4 years now, but after about a year and a half's worth of use, the inner lining is failing a bit, causing little specs of rubberized materials to gather everywhere, extremely annoying as I have to vacuum the bits every week. I also wish the inner liner was a brighter colour as loose things tend to get lost in the black on black. The main zipper has held up really well, still very good, however one of the zipper on the outer compartment (for the helmet) has torn away from the material, I hadn't used that compartment very much either. The bag has no real hard frame so oddly shaped things fit well enough. I found that I didn't use the skate/helmet compartment in the end. The finish on the bag was a bit poor, when I first got it there were loose strings in various places. But nothing came loose in the end, everything was fine except for that one minor zipper. In terms of usage, the bag is very large and usable and once you got it on your shoulders it is quite nice and you are mobile enough to fit through many doors. The shoulder straps are well padded and very comfortable, well placed as well as to balance the gear on your back. It fit all my gear and pads as a 6 foot, large pads guy. The internal toiletry bag is just ok, there's also a velcro there for it that's a bit odd in terms of placement. I wish there was at least one inner section for spare helmet parts or whatever, but so you end up putting it all in that toiletry bag. I've tried just using a ziploc/extra bag, but that gets moved around and lost easily. I give it 7/10 and I would try something else before I tried their Gen 3 (if I weren't looking for a wheeled alternative)

I think the first part is determining if material you're trying to bend is a thermoset or a thermoplastic (some plastics melt with heat while others cure and harden). If the material in that blocker is their proprietary carbon weave, I don't think it will bend with heat. Worse, if it's layered, it might separate? But again this is speculation from my part.
