  1. Think "Axis 2" and you've pretty much got it.
  2. Slide plate kits at GoalieMonkey.com https://www.goaliemonkey.com/new-items/warrior-goalie-accessories-ritual-g6-slide-plate-kit.html Didn't see those posted on Pure....yet....
  3. Personally, I have not worn Warrior since GT2. Most recent Bauers I have had are Ultrasonic, Hyperlite and Mach. I think Mach slides the worst out of the Bauer pads so far. If you're looking to get Hyperlite or an older set of Ultrasonics, those slid better than the Warriors, at least for me. I put together this pad sizing comparison chart based off catalog/custom gear size charts. The Bauer (BAR) size chart is a little off because their catalog doesn't report actual numbers - but it should be pretty close. As CCM and Warrior pad sizes go up, it gets a little wonky. CCM gives 1" intervals for their pad sizes, while Warrior uses 0.5" intervals. This results in CCM "catching up" and the two brands fitting different at 33" and above. Sizes are pulled from the 2023 CCM catalog, 2022 Warrior Catalog, 2022 Bauer catalog so it should be very current.
  4. Re: the new TuneFit+ - everyone likes it a lot over previous Bauer strapping setups. I personally wish we could move the other flap down a little. IIRC, that side is sewn in. Perhaps in the future Bauer could create connection points down on that side of the pad for users to tweak their setups.
  5. Looks like they might be building the thigh a little different. There's a notch there that isn't present on 12.2 or 20.2
  6. The Warrior catalog indicates that the JR G6 pad does have the removable slide plate, but the catalog also only has one SKU for the standalone slide plate kit, which states it fits Senior and Intermediate leg pads - no mention of JR. It sounds like sourcing it second-hand is the only way.
  7. The only option for "Strapping" on the online Bauer.com customizer that has a Supreme/Vapor option is the TuneFit Connect strapping. I'm 99% sure that is what the check boxes on your sheet correspond to. If you want the TuneFit+ strapping but otherwise a Hyperlite pad, you would have to go with the Mach chassis and select the Stabiliflex knee, Hyperlite flex and Hyperlite boot. That'll be the closest you can get.
  8. Looks great! What's the white spot on the blocker sidewall at the top? Was that a section that Bauer could not print on?
  9. My LHS has a box full of stick end caps where you can just take some. I was imagining/hoping that these would be treated in a similar fashion at a ski shop. But the more that I think about it, I realize how dumb I am.
  10. Here are some pics of a Protechsport Brodeur-mold that passed though my hands about 8 years ago - this mask had the interior finished as well. Ignore the red circle.
  11. Shark attack is right! Proto-V is built off a Vapor, so it doesn't have the Spine and should therefore last longer. Hard to say, though, since it just launched. Personally, I try to steer the elite teens towards the M5 Pro. Cheaper, more durable, and not much heavier. If money isn't an issue for the parents, then the kids can/will/do whatever they want.
  12. I skated for the first time in a couple of weeks - was busy with work - and I think I see what you mean. The strap itself is long, but maybe they don't give us quite enough velcro.
  13. Which QMSS strap do you mean? My (minor) issues are that the knee strap coming out of the knee block seems/feels a little short when strapping below the knee. My boot strap has deteriorated quite a bit. It looks like CCM uses some kind of colored sticker applied to the leather boot strap, but the sticker quickly lost adhesiveness and has come off, leaving parts of the boot strap naked. I haven't touched my Machs since I got these.... despite Mach giving better rebounds (and slide, but I modified them with vinyl so that's not quite an apples-to-apples comparison). I do feel like shots off the pads and blocker kind of "flutter" or wobble away at noticeably reduced velocity. With Bauer, pucks seem to rocket off and maintain the velocity they had coming in, and the trajectory is much more consistent and seldom flutter-y. The 580 catcher has been awesome for me. If Bauer ever offered a 580 at retail/retail custom...
  14. They are now the same. You can verify this by looking at the cage model which is printed on the cage itself. White mask is 960, black mask is NMEOne. Both use the Bauer "GRW SS" cage (certified stainless cage). Same thing holds true for the masks with the cat-eye. Both would use the Bauer "GRW NC SS" cage (non-certified stainless cage).
  15. I don't believe they come with knee pads anymore. My store recently got a bunch of G6 in stock, but all the knee pads we have in the back are older; they're labeled on the laundry bag as to which model/size they correspond to. Didn't see any for G6.
  16. Where did you get the new rail? Are they something a ski shop would have lying around? Are they pretty much universal?
  17. Anyone know if they make NHL regulation pants now that they are an AHL supplier? E-mailed them earlier this week and haven't heard anything back.
  18. Brick Wall Specials at Goalie Monkey. Prices good until 10/18. No coupon code needed. Slim pickings, and the price isn't as good as prior Brick Wall Specials (Bauer 1X Pro skates at $314.98, previously seen at $289).
  19. Couldn't find any US retailers, but here are some Canadian retailers assuming you have the newer Vertexx Edge holder: https://www.hockeylion.ca/products/stepsteelgoalieedgefat https://www.crowssports.com/products/step-steel-fat-max-bauer-vertexx-st-edge-goal-steel https://www.thegoaliecrease.com/product/step-steel-for-bauer-vertexx-edge-trigger/
  20. Like they say, the goalies will work it out themselves. If three goalies, the most common method is to do a rotation like this, swapping positions every 10 to 15 minutes. If 4 goalies, you usually see a pair of goalies picking a side and swapping between themselves every 10 to 15 minutes. Often there is no rotating down to the opposite end, but again, that's something you can discuss with the other tenders. Nearly all of my local rinks keep a paper list of players/goalies for a pick-up skate, even if they offer online registration. If I want to attend, I just call the rink and ask if they are any goalie spots available for the pick-up. If there are, they write my name down so my spot is reserved. Doing this, I've never had an issue showing up and not having a spot. I've seen other goalies get turned away because they arrived and there were already 4 goalies signed up.
  21. They really did a great job with the shading - it really looks as if the pad has knee rolls. As I scrolled by, I thought this was an old photo from 2010-2011 until I looked closely.
  22. I just Wiki'd Binance and and lol jesus christ: You're contributing, which is better than most people ever do. You can go a step further and take a look at that pre-set fund that you're buying into and look at the associated expenses/expense ratio. Anything over 0.75% is kinda high. Everyone lost money in these last 9-12 months - I think I'm down approximately $80-90k across all my accounts. It'll rebound. Eventually. In the meantime, think of it as buying whatever stock/funds at a discount.
  23. I got lucky and got into it when I was young. I invested (read: gambled because I didn't really look at the financials) it on AMZN, TSLA, and FB (amongst other things) back in 2012/2013 and grew it to a sizable amount. Recent volatility has got me thinking about transitioning the majority of my investments in my taxable account investing towards passively-managed index funds (https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Bogleheads®_investment_philosophy). But that's a whole 'nother can of worms. So my advice - especially to anyone under 30 - is to get in the market and stay in. I've got a 1,373.94% gain in TSLA as of today, almost 700% in AMZN because I got in 8-10 years ago.
