Sticking with the 7.1's?

Yeah, I've never caught as well as I have with the 6.1 glove. The cuffs were the only "issue" I had with them and they've addressed them this release.  I had a good talk with Kirk about the gear and I'm really excited for the kit.

If anyone is looking to grab an all white set quickly. 34+2, G7.1 blocker, G7.0 (with 60 liner) catcher.

His specs are on GGSU, but these are softer than stock.

He has soft knee, and medium thigh. Stock is medium knee and stiff thigh.

@WONGER Your set is coming in soon right?

What was the lead time from order date to (potentially) on your door step?

I've been reading off of GGSU or the Warrior Goalie page on FB that some were up to 8-9 weeks for just a glove. Since it's the end of the season and they only serve Euro pros not the NHL, time waits should improve until their summer vacation.

Probably the same Warrior Support group I'm on then.

Thus me inquiring.

I put my order in early march and was quoted around 6 weeks.

I think mine are coming early/mid next month, pretty pumped.

Haven't worn Warrior since GT2, about 4-5 years ago? There are some nice quality of life changes, some long-needed improvements, and some things that I outright just don't like...

You beat @WONGER to the punch! ;)

When will you go into full details? Wearing the GT2 line myself, this has particular interest for me  :D

Gear is pretty much stock, except for going INT size in the hands, which I never had the guts to do on my other sets - I do think I like it. Added the wrist strap for the catcher since I'm old fashioned.

Entirely possible that I won't do a full, separate thread for a couple of reasons: hard to find ice time (not a lot of pickups and stick times in my area for some reason), and a deep attachment to the way my Bauers feel and perform.

Those are gorgeous. So how many sets are you rocking this year? 3?

What don't you like about them?

Axis XF on the way, Bauer and Warrior are here, Vaughn SLR4 coming any day/week now. That'll be it.

With my one league game on the weekend, it's really hard to find stick time or pick-ups during the week - they all seem to be Fridays, and I'm hesitant to skate two days in a row and compromise my ability to win my men's league games. Still recovering/trying not to aggravate whatever injuries I have and playing back-to-backs does seem to set it off.

I've used the car analogies a lot. For me, playing with the Bauer is like driving a Mercedes Benz. Nice, smooth ride. Most everything just feels quality - though MB and Bauer do take shortcuts with certain things and some things are quite dumb, but overall the performance and feel is top notch. Holding and looking over the G7 is like getting in my wife's Hyundai.

Below are two pictures, one of my G7's inside finger guards. There's plain exposed foam there. My first reaction was that someone forgot to cover it up. I looked a retail white-based G7 blocker in my store and it's the same.

But a black-based G7 blocker in the store had a suede-like covering over it. It just looks much cleaner.

That's all eh?

That exposed foam was present on the G6 line as well. It was also seen on the glove backside finger protection and the inside of the calf wrap on the G6.

Odd choice to not at least cover it up.

Didn't pay much attention to G6 as I was/am happily married to my Bauers. It does seem really odd to cover it up on the black models but not on the white models.

I do like the changes to the calf strapping - I think it may have begun with G6 - one big complaint customers had with Warrior was the inability to fine-tine and really get the calf tight.

I'm hesitant on the big calf pillow here - that's one thing I didn't like about Hyperlite1.

Calf strapping is all new on the G7.

G6 iteration was not good. It had a hard, plastic like, outer calf wrap that was situated on the far outside of the pad. The changes on the G7 were very welcome.

Calf pillow is bigger than the Hyperlite 1 too. Good thing it's removable.

Nice set.
