I like Sorokin. I advise you to take a closer look at Kochetkov. this is the guy who wrote out Marchand with pizdyuly. This season, Carolina is giving  to him a lot of playing time to prove themselves.

Not a huge fan of how he plays by comparison of Sorokin or Vasy. Still think he’ll be really good in a few years

I completely agree. it has yet to grow and there is potential for this. of course, now this is not the level of Ilya and Andrey, but the guy already has his own style

Kochetkov is super creative and has a ton of fight, I find. Big fan, even if it means two of my other favorites in Raanta and Andersen get less playing time.

I agree, you very accurately otmtili his qualities. he really thinks outside the box and tries to play outside the box. I hope he has good growth in his career

At what point are we going to stop saying Edmonton needs a better goalie, and instead say Edmonton is a team that makes their own goalies look bad? I’m not saying any of their recent goalies have been elite, but they seem to play better elsewhere, either before or after playing in Edmonton.

1. Skinner has been near top of the league playing behind Edmonton. Smith did well last year too. 
2. This is pretty much the same stats that Campbell had for the last 2/3 of the season with Toronto. They had to routinely outscore their goalie problems. 

Campbell is going to get slowly buried and remembered as another shit tier contract Edmonton put out for a borderline roster player.

Some fun information I gleaned after talking about someone this last week:

The GNetikV set he is using is pretty much stock (TKA 134) and maybe a couple of leather straps at most, so it's not like he's using a super soft version of the Brian's pad (they typically put an outer break if the thigh is 2 or softer iirc). Additional note is that the glove is a double-T, like his newer Vaughn gloves.

Thanks for the primo shots @The Teal Terror. Have to say - the jersey/setup from the Sharks/Seals throwback is far and away my favorite of that particular bunch. Keumper's setup comes in second.

Wait until you get to see Ullmark's stadium series set-up for the game at Fenway.

Swayman's already been playing in his set-up, and it looks great. Sorry for not posting them, the pictures (that I took) are on my phone and I haven't been able to transfer them yet, but some already exist on the internet. Maybe later?

I got to see him using one of these during a practice, but put it away once shots started coming. It looks great, going to upload my pictures (some not taken by me) here in a second.

 

Additional edit to add that Jack Campbell severed his Vaughn contract by appearing in Brian's gear in yesterday's game. Full GNetikVs, stock flex on the pads, added leather straps (redundant with the calf), and leather boot instead of nylon.

To an extent. The idea of hybrid elastic and nylon/leather setups has intrigued me a lot lately since you could have a comfortable, tight fitting pad but without the risk of the elastic stretching too far away from your leg.

Aka CCM QMSS and True FRS
 

The V2s I picked up fit super tight however they occasionally limit flexibility because leather doesn’t stretch like elastic

I use nylon-only strapping on my pads.

Not to discredit, but I know some guys use the leather only because they like how it sounds or looks (Daccord being an example of the latter).
