New to me Warrior G6 set. I had too much downtime at work and it just happened. Funny enough, I figured I could get away with an intermediate set. These are a 32+2 and are taller than the technically senior sized Eflex 3s beside them which are a 32+1. I'll give up the 0.5 inch in width for the huge cost savings.

Can you compare the heights of the knee stacks?

Those G6s may be senior sized. Mine are 32+1.5 and fit the exact same as small/33 in bauer

Beautiful set! Any thoughts on the Vapor 90?

very impressed with the feel and comfort out of the box.  havent yet tried on ice tho.

always enjoyed a 590 break due to the 'baseball glove' like feel but tried a true 580 break in store and was pleasantly surprised with feel so thought I'd give the vapor90 a go.  was sometimes having issues with catching pucks with the 590 (probably user error more than anything) so reckoned I'd try something new.

Please update once you have had a chance to try it on the ice.

As someone who also just switched from a life long 590 guy for the most part, my biggest adjustment has been finding the pocket. I’m very used to where the pocket of a 590 sits in my stance and butterfly, so I’ve been taking a lot of shots to the fingers and palm on the Vapor 90. For sure something you have to get used to with time since the pocket is so high up.

How does it feel on your hand and how does it close? And how’s the protection, did you add any extra padding?

Feels a bit like you’re holding something cylindrical like a can. Closes great, although I went pro palm over game ready since my mach had a decent amount of stingers. Also went extra padding in the palm.

Ha, I love the combo of job going well/wife gave permisson :)

Man, these are so unique and so bold.  Obviously used.....how do you plan on incorporating these into your team(s)?

I love the yellow Vaughn logos, makes it all pop and come together.  Congrats.

These won’t match my teams at all. One is red/white and the other is black/purple. My current set doesn’t match either. Trying to get the red/white team to go orange/yellow. There are are a lot of other variables to consider, but I feel like I have played better with bright color pads. They help me see my gloves better in my peripheral vision. Looking forward to these pads arriving..

This is exactly what I experienced with my eflex 6 581. I had 3 ice teams this past week though, and by the 3rd night I was feeling much more comfortable and confident. Just takes time and reps. And when you start hitting the pocket consistently it feels very sweet.

Not mine, but....

totally drooled on these and then I saw the alternating Vaughn / Legacy logos and my brain went haywire.  Still, amazing looking set.

The faux straps even 😍

I had the Andy Moog Bruins era black and white Legacy's when I was in high school. Miss them.
