Seller didnt have any meaningful measurements but got lucky on size. Anyways, they measure 11" wide, and all the "Beasts" I've found online look like super old school 12"++ Michelin Men. Anyone have a guess to which model these really are? Just unlaced the glove to poke around and the interior foam is neon/lime green. Was Brian's using Maltese? Going to remove the thigh boards and add bungee toe ties. Removed the 2(!) boot straps per pad! Probably float the tee and beef up the blocker sidewall. I’ve been wearing a Simmons 996 since 2012 and LOVE that thing. Never been hurt, super mobile and comfy. Could not find anything I liked that was lighter and updated till I tried this on. Was going to buy another Simmons but got an absolutely amazing deal on this. There are a few deals out there that make this a GREAT choice. So far, one skate this was fantastic, felt smaller, a lot lighter and no mobility issues, nothing got caught or in the way. Took a few to the shoulders and chest and felt nothing other than contact. It’s got a ways to go before it’s 996 soft but extremely happy with first skate. Went from a medium optik 2 which was definitely small to an XL which might be just a little big. Large probably would’ve been perfect but once this breaks in and softens up it will be fine. Georgiev wears the same size at 6’1 180.
