When held perpendicular to the ice, a tilt in the board like that is designed to mitigate aerial angle of the puck and keep the puck from popping up and over (helps goalie maintain eyes on puck).  This is the main purpose.

If you are in good position with sufficient depth, you will rarely need to extend the blocker so the toe points to the boards (parallel to the ice)

Here's Greiss with a textbook example.

This really helps a lot. I ordered a custom LT98 blocker and hope that drastic angle helps me track it better. I have good eyes but when it pops over the top of my blocker like that it’s difficult to track where it went, sometimes it’ll pop out right in front of me, that being said it could be at those times I’m not redirecting them correctly but sometimes the shots so fast you’re just trying to save it haha

Those look reeeeeeal nice. I was looking to pickup a P2 stick but haven't seen a colour combo that would go with my white/royal blue setup. If I had a black base, however, these would be my first choice.

It will be very rare to find p2 sticks in other volour combo. I hope you do though.

I've found pictures of it, just not availible. And it would need to be at a price I feel comfortable paying... So I may need to wait awhile :D

I went around extolling the virtues of the CR1 last month, and then I tried the 2S Pro.

I'm a believer.

I think that's a lot of what the composite stick market is. It's very relevant to what stick you were using before your first composite and if you have ever tested any other composites.

Been wanting to try one of these for a long time. Played one game with it so far and really loved the open feel and sight lines. Might need to add a dangler though...

My only problem with that helmet is that sometimes the cage would make it front-heavy for me. But other than that, I freaking LOVED my Mage!

Buttendz flux grip.

i had tried the twirl 88 with a taped on knob but the grip frayed like crazy so i sold it to my friend. I taped how price tapes so i found this would be the closest to what i did when i taped.

They will mark the stick for market value which is $250 in Canada, some stores may go $5 or $10 more, it doesn't cost anymore to do a custom order, just takes time.  The only other P2 stick I saw was Price, which also had a different finish on the blade.

Yeah, haha, that's part of the problem. Paying $250 retail for a stick in a no-go for me, unfortuntely. And I've seen a few of the P2 sticks in stores, but just the generic colour scheme like black, Price specs, etc.

Over the past two months I have purchased some 1S od1n knee guards which I added some helmet foam to, LS3G+ steel for my 1S skates, pair of pro laces for my favorite part, my custom graphic OPT1Ks coming mid August and my OPT1K chest protector coming the same time

Love the design work and color selection on the pads and the chesty!! I heard the whole "Why bother? No one ever sees it anyway." on the C/A... and if you have to explain... they won' understand anyway.

How do you like the knee guards? They interest me, but I haven't seen too much in the way of user feedback on them. When you feel like you've used them enough to give a review, would you mind throwing one up?

Basically they suck unless you use either A: a garter to hold them in the perfect spot or B: use helmet foam to put a layer on the surface that your knee leans against when going down(shown in this picture). Once you do either of those things it's a great pair of knee guards, just make sure they sit correctly otherwise the inside peice of the Curv composite will dig into your leg.

For the chesty I had a ton of people saying why bother, but I needed it customed anyway to get L body with XL arms, and colours cost no extra.

There's is also a suprise on the pads when they come in. I haven't told too many people about it.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. Interesting mod on the knee guards in that the foam is more meant to keep them in place, and not to simply bolster protection. The only feedback anyone else had really shared that I can think of was that the use of Poron and Flexorb was a spot the size of a quarter. So if you landed anywhere else (or if they twisted) there wasn't much cushion. What intrigues me is how relatively compact they are compared to others out there.

Functional or aesthetic surprise on the pads? either way... anxious to see your post when they arrive.

Aesthetic, and I can agree that this mod is too keep it from twisting. I am contemplating getting some more foam to cover the knee landing area around the Poron.

?? (best delivered with gruff Indy voice) if only I had the koho 570 pads to match i'd build that shrine myself! I had 570 glove and blocker but my parents chucked them about 5 years ago when they moved SMH

Definitely keeping the koho stick and neckguard. Good quality never goes out of style! The balance I'll likely throw up for sale on here or sideline swap.
